Cafe Brunch — Restaurant in Hyndburn

• Edited 30/12/2021. The owner & all the team here have worked incredibly hard over the last few weeks in very challenging circumstances to keep the café open. One of the more experienced barista/server moved on and in the same week most of the kitchen staff got hit by the ping-demic and had to isolate. I'd have been tempted to close the door, claim some covid grants & spend xmas & NY enjoying 25 degree sunshine in my native Turkey. He choose to bring in family & friends to help as best they can whilst trying to solve his staffing headache & train one of the servers to work the coffee machine. He choose to contribute to the economy & local community instead of taking bailouts whilst making sure his existing staff had a wage over xmas and NY. All the staff I have met are friendly and polite despite being mostly "young 'uns" as another review has criticised but let's not use that as a stick to beat them with when they are in work & trying to better themselves. When I look out the café window and see other "young 'uns" in balaclavas under hoodies flying past on electric scooters hunting for iPhones to steal; it's not a biggie to me on the odd occasion a waitress has made an honest mistake and forgot my toast or my cutlery. *

Been a couple of times now and can't fault the food or the service. Sat in with my mum previously and we both agreed the food was both perfectly cooked and well presented and the service was friendly and attentive.

Visited today for a simple bacon butty and tea take out and was equally impressed. Bacon cooked right, bread nicely toasted, tea bag left in brew on request - all the basics just done really well.

Looked like they were having a technical problem with the POS system which they just dealt with and kept the food coming out. I had my order in under 10 mins and the place seemed full of happy customers.

Outstanding cafe! What a wonderful experience every single time I have been. 4 times now and I will always come here now. The staff are so welcoming and friendly every single one of them.

It's table service here so no need to move they bring everything to you.

The food is outstanding I will be honest i have only had one item I must try more. I always get the triple decker club with chips. If you pay 50p more you can get another plate for a friend. So I always take some one with me and treat them. Its such a great experience everytime. All the food is tasty. The cafe is bright clean and a great atmosphere. Again hats off to the waiting on staff absolutely brilliant. Thank you.

Wasn't fully aware that the inside market had fully closed so looking for a last minute breakfast spot ended up here. Pretty standard fair, full breakfast for me and had a hot chocolate, usual bugbear in most cafés only 1 pat of butter with each slice of toast but no hassle when asking for another one so that was good.
