Bekash Tandoori — Restaurant in Ipswich

Absolutely terrible food. Paid £45 for what looked like half portions, the currys were literally half a bowl. Onion Bahjis were not cripsy at all, when lifting them up they disintegrate into pieces and had a horrible taste of flour. The garlic naan was cold. Spiced popadoms looked like cardboard cut outs and were the flattest popadoms I have ever seen. Both the Madras and Korma were extremly runny, diluted to hell. Nothing came with rice and when we called we got told that on just eat it says that they don't come with rice however after having a look it does not mention that anywhere I looked. The Korma not only was it runny it was extremly sweet and tasted of just coconut and the duck madras was just pure spice and no other flavour to it. To top it all of it was very late and it said it was delivered 15mins before it actually was. Never will we order from here again....

I was very, very disappointed. Me and my kids ordered naan, poppadoms, and kormas The taste of the food overall was just 'off' and the meat was unpleasant to eat. The garlic naans were very bland and tasteless with no garlic flavour. Also the poppadoms appeared to have been folded strangely into quarters whilst being cooked so they were really small and unappetising. My curry was just sauce and a few pieces of chicken which again had a weird taste. There was No rice with curry. The food was late and it was already cold. We have been really put off from ordering from Bekash and won't order from them ever again. Food was very expensive, small portion...

Had a fantastic night out with excellent service and perfectly pitched food that was rich and well crafted with a lovely burn. Excellent appetizers, although beware of the lime pickle as it is an acquired taste. Topped off with a beautiful Hawaiian ice dessert to cool the palette. Drinks weren't cheap, but worth it, given the lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. The entertainment they laid on for us was Sal Bashir, one of the top Elvis tribute acts in the world. A performer who obviously knows his craft and respects the act. ( Not a jumpsuit in sight ) All in all a wonderful evening out and I will probably go again when they have Sal back...
