Service was a reasonable wait considering how busy they were. The cheese burger was great and the waffle fries made a really nice twist to the standard takeaway versions who sell French fries. The eating area was clean and tidy and menus around the tables was a brilliant change to trying to zoom in on the big screens, especially when you leave your glasses in the car! Everything was fab until we wanted to order donuts to take away with us.... what a nightmare!!! The doughnut counter wasn't really manned by staff and we were pretty much ignored until we started asking if anyone was serving there. We ordered and then waited for ages, at which point 2 members of staff appeared and asked if we were waiting to be served, bit late by then. While we watched countless Doughnuts boxed up for other people, no-one was boxing up the extra large boxes we had asked for. Over 10 minutes later one of our orders was boxed and served but no sign of the other order in out group. We asked about it and soon noticed the order of personalised flavours boxed. However, it was then placed at the serving counter - where there were no staff present again - and waited once more, even though we could see them but couldn't get to them the other side of the screen. Eventually we had to make some noise yo get staffs attention and ask if we could have our order that was just sitting there un-noticed. In total we waited longer for our doughnut order, than the time it had taken to eat our meals, even though we had a group of 6 adults and 2 children... Nightmare! But again, all the burgers (icluding a range of chicken & beef/bacon in the group) were...
Read moreOh dear, oh dear, Sadly my first and last visit to Tim Hortons. Poor poor quality food. So disappointing after not eating all day and seeing OK reviews (how this place got them beggars belief!) Cold and stale tasting food. Chicken tenders were anything but tender! I could hardly swallow them after my daughter gave up trying after one bite, they were so dry, verging on inedible. The double bacon burger patties and bacon were weirdly alien, colourless and anaemic looking resembling a thin slice of a poorly ET more than actual red meat, it was generally of a pretty meagre size for the price to boot, as were the cold tasteless overcooked lattice fries, but they did look more of this planet I must say. The doughnuts were stale and chewy, certainly not fresh as they should be. The place was nearly empty late afternoon, which should have been a giveaway but the service was still slow and quite unwelcoming for some reason. To top it off, the main order screen froze and after ordering a meal for 5 at the counter, and producing the Kings legal tender to pay, we were then told they don't accept British coinage?? I really. really. really. really wish I had dragged my famished family out there and then and saved ourselves the torture and anguish. No sign stating the fact they are cashless that I could see when leaving either? How do establishments like this survive? This place makes other mediocre takeaways look like a 5* gourmet experience, Ronald/Mr King/Colonel, sleep easy this place...
Read moreArrived in car queue just before 11am, took us about 40 minutes to get to the front and receive our food, cars moved forward maybe every 3-4 minutes or so.
We could see people queueing in a line outside the building, they weren't moving any faster either.
Staff member on the speaker clearly had trouble hearing us, and we had trouble hearing them, poor system I assume.
The big breakfast wrap was long but much thinner than I expected to be honest, I didn't really feel as though it had enough filling. The hash brown was ok but way too thin, more like a potato pancake.
The timbits were also underwhelming, some tasted undercooked while another had a long black hair on it, which put me off even more. Nothing particularly special about them, and there didn't seem to be much variety.
I felt a little sorry for the staff and they are either clearly lacking in better training from management or are significantly understaffed to handle the demand, either way this should really be easy to remedy.
Overall I would say not worth the wait at all, I could have had something similar from McDonald's in less than one eighth of the time. Definitely needs improving in terms of efficiency as we even noticed a few drivers leave the queue after presumably getting fed up of the wait time. If you see the queue and it isn't moving,...
