Had very high hopes for this place, unfortunately it came very short, we both ordered their best selling smash burger and chicken burger which looked great, I was super excited at the way it looked! But sadly it was unbelievably tasteless, the portion size is decent but when it lacks flavour it becomes more of a chore to finish the meal, the mocktails were way way too sweet, me and my partner agreed that they were nice but I’m not sure if it’s the syrup they used but it tasted really sweet. I give the service a 3 star because the staff were very nice, they frequently made sure we were okay, however the reason for the 3 star was it took over 30 mins for a burger meal which was way too long. Atmosphere is nice, however tables are quite close together and that does come down to the space that they have which isn’t that much. Would I go again? Read moreI placed an order for a gluten-free Nucker burger, and on a separate occasion, ordered the same again—only to later find out that it was never actually gluten-free. Thankfully, I didn’t fall ill, but as someone with a gluten intolerance, this is extremely concerning.
When I raised the issue with the gentleman at the till, he mentioned that the breadcrumbs are “90% gluten-free” and that the bun isn’t gluten-free at all. He then discussed some alternative options that are gluten-free—but none of this was made clear to me when I originally placed my order.
What made the situation worse was the lack of apology or accountability. Instead of acknowledging the issue, I was made to feel as though it was my responsibility to know what was gluten-free—even though I specifically asked for it.
