Chicken Stop — Restaurant in Kirklees

This review is long overdue and as such it will be a long post, because I have so many different occasions to talk about.

I eat a lot on the go because of time constraints, but as a family, we cook delicious food, so it's hard to find food that completely satisfies the palate when I'm eating out. Nevertheless, Chicken Stop's Loaded Nachos are absolutely amazing! Everything about it tastes right, chicken is grilled, not fried and there's a generous amount of it - sauces and jalapenos give it a great burst of flavour. It's not only my go to takeout, but my family are now regulars and I even got my rounders team, BatGirls Rounders Club hooked onto the Loaded Nachos! We'll often grab it and go when we need a tasty nutritious snack in between matches! 💫

Not only is the food delicious, but their customer service has been amazing on so many occasions.

I was driving back from a day out with my daughter and called to place an order. By the time I got in to Dewsbury she was fast asleep, I couldn't leave her in the car alone while I nipped in to collect the order, nor did I want to take her out in case she woke up. I reluctantly rang to ask if they could drop my order to the car, I was expecting a no, and at the very least some awkwardness, but I was delighted at how supportive they were. One of the lads stepped out to bring my order to the car, he was really pleasant about it and even preemptively brought change with him 💫

All too often I've seen when food places have offers on, they either get irritable with their customers, reduce portion sizes, take out the drinks and fries from meals, or even reduce 80% of the meat claiming that's the offer menu! In Nov, for their 5th year anniversary, Chicken Stop discounted everything on their menu to £4.50. Despite the increase in workload and working in a pressurised setting, they kept their standard of customer service and quality of food. 💫

A few months back, we ordered our regular couple of Loaded Nachos. When we sat down to eat it, we noticed the portion size was almost half a box, compared to the usual generous full box. As we'd always had a great experience from Chicken Stop before, I dropped them a google chat message just to let them know. I wasn't expecting it, but straight away they told me to show the chat message when I was next in and they'd sort something out for me. When we next went in (a month later), showed the chat msg, we were given our order at no cost.  No issue about the time lapse, no fuss, just fabulous customer service. 💫

Five star rating for the food and the customer service is above and beyond.  Chicken Stop, not only do you have my service, but everybody around me hears about...

Ordered to eat in with a few people on Saturday evening 3rd December. The shop front was a mess, the tables were full of previous peoples left over food and the floor was extremely dirty. The staff were not interested in keeping the place clean and presentable. They did not clean the tables for the customers who wanted to eat in. The food was underwhelming, average at best. While I was in the store, I witnessed multiple customers having issues with their orders. A few customers were waiting a while for their orders. One person was waiting an hour and his order was still not ready. Another customer was given the wrong order. He returned to the store with the food after having taken it home and noticing he was given the wrong order. It was chaos.

Chicken Stop in Dewsbury never disappoints! From the moment you walk in, the aroma of freshly grilled and fried chicken is irresistible. I tried the Buffalo Legend Burger Meal and it was absolutely delicious — crispy chicken, tangy sauce, and perfectly toasted bun. The Munchbox is a real winner too — packed with flavour and perfect if you're feeling extra hungry. Service is fast and friendly, and the food always arrives hot and fresh. Portions are generous and the prices are more than fair for what you get. Whether you're in the mood for spicy peri-peri or a juicy wrap, they’ve got it covered.
