KFC Dewsbury - Long Causeway — Restaurant in Kirklees

We used the drive-thru facility and it was the start of a bad experience. We pulled up to the intercom and the staff member told us to wait a couple of minutes. The car park and drive-thru was quite empty?

A minute passed and the staff member came back on the intercom and began to take our order. After just about every item, we got "is that it?", as if he was hoping we'd go away. We went to order the final item when he informed us he'd already totalled the order. He did say that he would be able to amend it at the collection window though.

At the collection window we asked for the last item, which was 3 pieces of original recipe pieces. We paid and waited, as you do. A few moments later, the order started to be passed to us. My wife was convinced it was going to be wrong so she checked it as it came. The chips were missing from a meal, a child's drink was missing from a meal and 3 pieces of original recipe were 3 hot wings. The staff member replaced them and then we pulled into a parking bay to eat our meals. It turned out to be fine generally. The two carbonated soft drinks turned out to be approximately 90% ice and 10% soft drink.

I ordered my meal via 'Just Eat'. It was 30 degrees weatherwise outside. My diet Pepsi canned drink was disgustingly warm, my 3 pieces of chicken looked as if they were actually pigeon, they were so small! The chips were warm, hard and mahogany coloured.

It's so expensive to 'order out' nowadays with the British economy going down the tubes. My meal cost was £11.70 in total including VAT, service charge and a 5% 'tip charge' (I think that was what it was called). This was delivered to my home by an unfriendly courier. The outcome was a disappointment.

You need to change the oil frequently for cooking fried chicken. This oil had given the pigeon bits a slightly bitter undertaste. It was old, overused oil. I didn't finish my meal as my stomach felt uncomfortable with the old frying oil.

This restaurant needs to improve their game. A LOT. It's really not on cooking 'take out' to this disgusting level. Fridge your drinks. Have the manager oversee the oil change. This is a poor, poor show. Pull your socks up...

Ordered food on just eat for delivery and it said delivered but it never turned up so rang them and they said they would send another out, which also never turned up!!! No cars came down our road at all as we were waiting outside for it but a driver said that a neighbour had been out and said we had moved out which is a complete lie as our neighbour hadn't been out of their house an no car or anything had come down our road. Now we have paid for food we clearly haven't got and they said we had to go and collect it but neither me or my husband drive so that would cost even more money and we had already spent £23. Really disappointed as I don't know what the drivers are doing with the food and saying they have been to the house when they haven't!!!!!!!! How can 2 drivers not find the house!!!!!!! We have had deliveries from here on numerous occasions before and they have turned up so I don't know why today is any...
