Came across this restaurant through reviews on trip advisor and I must say what everyone said was what we experienced. The food was soooo good we were too excited to tuck in and only after leaving realised we only took a picture of the starter! The dishes were all well presented. The chef came out to greet us and see if we enjoyed the food. Which we throughly did! It was my hubbys 1st time trying indian and he gave it 2 thumbs up. The chef even helped to take a picture of me and my husband at the end of the night once we had left. The spice level was as requested very generous portions! If we weren't staying at a hotel we would have taken the rest of the food home hahah all in all a great experience and food. I also got a rose as it was valentines day :-). Would definitely visit again if we are ever in the area as we were only visiting from Essex.

Had a really tasty curry as a main course. The bread with it was delicious. However, the poppadoms for a starter and dips were rubbish. Tiny triangular things, basically the equivalent of a large one anywhere else at £4.95 is too expensive. All in a tiny bowl. The dips are meagre, tiny square pots that are unreal . Bill for 4 adults, with 2 pints 2 wines no desserts was £120. Told the waitress twice that the poppadoms were soft tasting. Was told they are fresh. The whole place needs revamped. Very 80s. No windows at all in the place, you could have imagined you were in an Eastern block country. Must suit local people. See for yourself, that's my opinion . You can disagree.

Wow, we was a party of 24, we went in today for a family birthday. The atmosphere was so professional, the front of house was amazing, polite, professional, everyone had uniforms, the chef came out to greet us and sing happy birthday, the food was incredible. This is by far the best restuarant I've been too in a long time. The care with plating, tablewear down to the little touches like roses on the table, swapping out, the food came out so quickly, it was unbelievable both myself and my partner have worked as chefs and we have nothing on this place. Please visit its incredible and the prices are worth the food, I wouldn't be mad if they put the prices up.

What a fantastic place to eat folks! I was visiting West Yorkshire (I still can't bring myself to call it Kirklees - it still sounds like somewhere in Scotland) and decided to take my best Girl Lilli'bet to "Destination" for dinner. I came across the restaurant after researching on Trip Advisor and it turns up that all the praise being bandied about was true because from beginning to end the food was utterly delicious and looked really spectacular on the plates.

This is all down to Chef Sam the most humble and congenial Gentleman you could ever wish to meet. His absolute passion for what he is bringing to his restaurant is admirable. The freshest of ingredients, the deftest of touches to his seasonings. This is absolutely not your run of the mill Indian food experience, you really don't need to spend long in his company to realise this is an exceptional Chef bringing the whole of his heart to his cuisine.

I have to give a shout out to Jo the restaurant manager who keeps things ticking over whilst Sam does his thing and the people working the tables who were so sweet and patient because we were taking an age to decide what to have as every dish sounded fabulous!

Look let's face it... There is an abundance of restaurants serving up good curries across the region but what Sam's creating is not good...

It is absolutely Michelin star worthy and as far as I can see, that's exactly where Sam is heading. Please please please don't miss out, you'd be doing yourself a...

Not been here before looks awesome online and reviews seem to back this. Once we got sat down we had to gain attention from the waiters for a drinks menu and food menu that was after around 15 minutes of being there. We ordered a pickle tray to start which was a tad underwhelming as only a few bits of popadom and the sauces seemed a bit bland with no Spice to any of them. The mains arrived shortly after which were nice maybe not to my usual taste but that’s just me. When then proceeded to deserts which we then had to prompt the staff again to order. We both ordered different desserts but both seemed to have taken on the taste of onion from the fridge so they both got left. we then asked for the bill and to take the deserts off, that never came so just decided to pay at the desk to find our deserts hadn’t been taken off and the the chef asking us which waiter served us whilst they were stood in front of us which was very awkward. I think for better experience concentrate on more attentive waiters and less fuss with the foods image and more on the...

Been a couple of times. Lovely food especially the deconstructed samosa chaat. Presentation is very cheffy and feels special. Their Indian food is better than usual restaurants and a bit different. Main chef is very experienced from what he has shared about his credentials. First time staff were very on the ball, second time we felt less attention from staff on a week day which wasn’t busy but maybe short staffed or distracted. It is more costly than other Indian restaurants so it would be a special treat to go, as price difference is noticeable. Nonetheless the food was generally very nice except one vegetarian dish I wasn’t keen on and a little over use of cream in some dishes. Am sure the kitchen would oblige of I was to ask for less cream next time. Definitely worth a visit for a more upmarket menu compared to other Indian restaurants in the Kirklees area. Owners are very...
