Lovely quanit coffee shop. If you like to sit in a traditional themed tea room then this is the place for you. The staff were all very helpful, and even understood one of our parties dietry needs when we told them they were gluten free. This place also holds arts and crafts style workshops with Jewlery making upstairs and pottery downstairs. So if you want to have a latte and then go and make some beautiful art work you should check this place out.
Everything is reasonably priced and the food is of good quality, the staff are very informative when asking questions based around ingredients etc. They even make their own ice cream on site, so if you are feeling a little decadent after your panini I would reccomend the salted caramel ice cream.
On a Saturday night they have a bar which is located down stairs. Access is not great as it is a metal spiral staircase which is very tight (I spoke to the owner, it is a listed building so it is very hard to change) but once down stairs it is a very nice and chilled atmosphere. It can't fit more than 10 people in it, but that is ideal if you want somehwere away from the crowds.
This has been given five stars due to the friendly staff, good quality coffee and food which is all at an extremely reasonable...

However, I would like to offer a minor critique. Some areas of the cafe could benefit from additional lighting. Additionally, the sign outside stating that only food ordered for "sit down" can be consumed in the garden area could be revised. I believe that regardless of the nature of the purchase, it would be more welcoming to allow customers to briefly occupy a seat while consuming their coffee purchased from the cafe. This policy could be reconsidered, especially when it does not involve busy periods or the consumption of food and drinks from external sources.
Overall, I intend to revisit the establishment and potentially order food based on its...
Read morePopped in to kill some time whilst I waited for a local mechanic to complete some work on my car.
The food was great, (I had a full English) lovely coffee and a refreshing orange juice.
The woman who I assume owned it was super friendly, very polite and smiley, noticed she had some elderly regulars who she greeted and even went as far as opening sachets of sauce for them - it's just the little things that stick out about this place but those little things really make a difference.
Id certainly return on my next...
