La Dantri | Honley — Restaurant in Kirklees

I've been here a few times and consistently get fantastic tasty food and excellent service to go with it. Simona is especially friendly, polite, and attentive. That's not to say the rest of the staff aren't also excellent, but Simona, I wanted to point out as being such a fantastic server.

On my most recent visit I tried the sterloin steak. All the dishes in the past or present were excellent. The prawns were especially tasty, really moist, and full of flavour. The carbonara was also delicious. Not rubbery that you can sometimes get elsewhere, and the accompanying bits were extremely well made. The pizzas were also a highlight, so much flavour!

Parking is just around the corner, and I've never had an issue finding a place.

I have never needed to book, although I mainly come for dinner, the later service may be different and may need booking for that.

Lovely small Italian restaurant in the village of honley, so really want to support. Food good slightly on the pricey side, which I'd be happy to pay to support small village Italian, however, not huge portions of what was ordered which was a good selection over the 2 nights we've visited. The restaurant is small but lovely. Eaten here twice, staff and service very good and friendly. only real sticking point is the price of wine starting at 28.00 a bottle and not the nicest of wines. Tried the one at 30.00 a bottle the 2nd time we visited and was disappointed by the quality of wine at this price point. the cost of the wine would put me off returning as I'd expect a really good wine for 30.00 a bottle. If they offered a decent house red at 20 and nicer wines 28.00 and above we would be more likely to return as we live locally. This is really the only reason I'm not...

What a shame. So excited to see friends for our annual Christmas catch up, yet let down even before we arrived. Having booked our table for 7pm, one of our party was called early evening to ask if we would come earlier a as they needed our table back at 8.25pm! Less than 1hr 30 for seven of us to meet, order, eat, catch up and leave!! Service was slow and one waitress particularly rude. £24 for two miniature Prosecco bottles. Is C this Honley or Kensington? Nobody welcomed me when I arrived, too busy arguing over table! Coffee served luke warm and did not resemble the flat white ordered. All in all a poor and disappointing, overpriced experience.
