Punch Bar and Tapas — Restaurant in Kirklees

The food was good (not brilliant) and the service / staff friendly and attentive, with a nice atmosphere, but just far too expensive for what you got. We were a party of two and had three dishes (definitely tapas size) and a dessert each, with two non-alcoholic drinks, and the bill was £100 with a tip. To put some context on this, the exact same meal at Home on Lindley (also tapas) where the dishes are certainly bigger, the service just as good, and, in my own opinion, the food is far tastier, will set you back £65. Alternatively, spend £100 at Eric's and you'll get three courses of the most amazing food you'll find anywhere, with huge portions and a la carte service. Food and service was fantastic, it's a lovely little place that I would absolutely return to. Only marked the atmosphere down as there were some incredibly loud tables of drinkers within the dining area that spoiled it for us, however it was around 8pm on a Friday night at that point to be fair so in future I would make sure to leave earlier before the bar element of the place comes in and would recommend anyone wanting a nice chilled dining experience to go earlier too, as it's quite a small place so when things get raucous it really has an impact. I ordered the pre order tapas takeaway for tonight to celebrate our wedding anniversary in lockdown as we always love food from punch. Well what can I say, we were so impressed. The food was utterly gorgeous. So tasty and huge portions for me and my husband, we have left overs for tomorrow. I was disappointed the food wasn't served hot when I ordered but after having eaten the takeaway I think it's a great idea serving it cold as you do. It keeps u safe and doesn't affect the quality of the food at all. The instructions u have to heat the food were so easy to follow.
