Friendly, polite and helpful staff. The food is amazing! We have only eaten here a handful of times but everytime I'm glad with what food I had chosen. On two occasions we have had Cote Dr Beouf. Both times, the food was presented perfectly. Having a fussy 5 year old Jacobs Well even changed the menu for him. They offer a handful of children options such as chicken, sausages, and other child friendly options. My child wanted cheesy pasta-pasta with cheese if you don't speak child đ This was not a problem, for Josephine (the manager). The food even came before ours so my little one wasn't waiting for our food to be cooked. We never manage a pudding as the food always satisfys us but, I can imagine they are just as delicious as the rest of the menu. The only thing I would say to improve on would be a more frequent change of menu. That being said Jacobs Well, so have an extensive specials board which changes regulary. They also offer 2 courses for around ÂŁ13 midweek 12-7 (I think). 3 options for starter, three options for mains and deserts. Always catering to everyone's needs is what Jacobs Well does so Well!
Keep up the good work guys! Your doing a grand job with your delicious food and beautiful...
Read moreWent hear a few months ago for a birthday and food was beautiful! However, came yesterday for Fatherâs Day and were extremely disappointed. Not sure if there is a new cook but food were nowhere near as tasty as last time. The only positive outcome were the hard working, friendly staff. Chorizo lollipops were covered in a thick, oily batter which I couldn't eat. Beef Sunday roast came to me chop cold, i couldnât eat any potatoes or mash as it just werenât enjoyable and food were all piled up on one plate as if chef had just dumped it there. Pudding was crumble which consisted of a thin layer of crumble (which were nice) followed by a deep bowl full of sour, bland fruit. I were very sick that night of the meal as I had food poisoning, and since this was the only thing I had eaten that day I can safely say it were the food from here. Really really disappointed as I had such a lovely experience last time, donât think we shall we coming here again...

Proper pub, this. One of them âhidden gemsâ that everyone claims to have just discovered â even though half of Honleyâs already in the beer garden with a pint.
I drop in a couple of times a week for a âquick oneâ⌠which usually turns into a few more, top-notch grub, and a deep conversation with someone Iâve never met before.
The beerâs always spot-on â cold, crisp, and poured with care. The locals? Fantastic bunch. Welcoming, warm, and never short of a good story or a bit of cheeky banter.
Staff are brill, foodâs proper hearty, and when the sun decides to show up, that beer garden is the place to be.
Buzzing atmosphere, great laughs, and a real sense of community. If youâve not been to The Jacobs Well⌠youâre either lost or seriously missing out.
Just donât go telling everyone â weâre still calling...
