Marshmallow — Restaurant in Kirklees

My friend and I used to come here during after school hours and we were treated like delinquent youths. We felt discriminated upon against our age, given that we were wearing uniform. This is also against the Equality Act (2010) which implies that workers must treat customers equally, regardless of any protected characteristics. The atmosphere felt uninviting and the man working there always acted passive aggressive, wouldn't do his job properly and would rather chat to his employees than cook our food. We tried items on the menu such as paninis (which were bland and dry), cakes, hot chocolates all several times and it wasn't worth the extortionate price. The man working at this place also tended to act displeased when we arrived there and would make bizarre comments to us that we were unsure on how to reply to. Customer service skills were taken lightly and employees seemed unbothered about doing their job to a decent standard. Called in today for a coffee and saw one of the specials advertised. Turkey, stuffing, bacon, cranberry sauce and apple sauce sandwich. Since I hadn't eaten so far that day I decided to try it. I had the choice of white or brown bread and went with white. The sandwich came with a generous side salad and a small dish of coleslaw. It was delicious, fresh and very tasty. I also had a large latte and that too was wonderful. The price was very reasonable much more so than similar places in the town centre. The lady and gentleman in the shop were welcoming and happy to help. I'll certainly be back to taste some of the delicious looking...

10/01/25 I came to huddersfield hospital with a tenant who needed teeth out an decided I shall have a coffee at this place, quite a pleasant place with friendly staff and the gentleman behind counter was very friendly and hospitable so over all enjoy the scone and mocha (large) lol which was absolutely delicious and hot even after I had written this review, also must mention the cream was the best I have had this far but no flake on side but definitely taste wise and the fact it was hot after good 10 min is definitely a huge plus point, probably come again if am...
