First of all the service was bad apart from the lovely women that took our order. The first woman that seated us who looked like the manager seemed really unbothered and unhappy. Seemed really unprofessional the way she addressed us.
The woman who brought the food to our table was the same, wasn’t bothered and looked absolutely miserable. Didn’t make us feel comfortable or welcome at all. Apologised for the cold food and then asked if I wanted a fresh one? Like as if I’d keep eating the cold food? Not very professional and sounds like she doesn’t know what to do when things go wrong or don’t go according to plan. Didn’t seem very sympathetic.
Never been to Zizzi’s before and was so excited to go. Unfortunately have been let down when my sister’s food was stone cold. She ordered this stew in a bread bowl and her meat and potatoes were stone cold but the gravy was steaming. They clearly didn’t cook it well as the food arrived 5 mins after we ordered. That was a red flag and the food should have absolutely been checked. Just because it’s steaming does not mean it’s cooked, furthermore it’s a telltale sign of microwaved food so can’t expect too much anyway just thought with the prices they would cook using an oven. Outrageous prices for this disgusting service and the quality of food which there is an extreme lack of. My food looked and tasted okay but was under seasoned. My partner said his pizza was okay.
The atmosphere was horrendous with music playing so loud we had to shout to one another just so we could hear each other because put loud music on top of everyone else’s conversations isn’t going to end well. To top it off the music was not relaxing, as much as I love Sabrina Carpenter and other pop songs that they played, it wasn’t a good mood setter for an Italian restaurant. The music should have been quieter and way more enjoyable if they ditched the pop songs and put on some beautiful Italian music.

6:00 PM: Told we were going to be served and that the table (or allegedly food) was going to be 45 mins)
6:10PM Sat down after complaining to the manager after miscommunications of the waiter and ordered drinks (and they were alright) however they were ordered twice.
6:20PM: Ordered food, sat and chatted. However received pasta crisps which i thought was nice however instead of receiving pasta crisps we got, pasta crumbs. ( will ad photo of them)
6:50PM After talking for a while this is where things went wrong for the restaurant. My sister was given her kids main meal and she hadn't got her starter of which was raw bread with carrot sticks. Plus they delivered my food and the rest of my family's and received of what i thought was the smallest portions one could receive. Also been given my dinner as it was slammed on the table. (no offering of cheese)
7:20PM The meal was really lovely enjoyed it although we had now began to think they had treated us unfairly because of the complaint we made to the manager about having the miscommunications. However when looking at my sister's meal i was really surprised to have found what looked like the skin of a prawn IN SWEET POTATOE FRIES. i mean come on your begging for this review to be written.
7:30PM: My sister got here desert plates were taken away and thankfully we had a voucher from a birthday and i am glad because i would certainly have not paid that bill if i had been treated as if they wanted me to go home. Heck the waiter didn't look like she even wanted to be there so i don't blame her.

Read moreVisited here with my family on a weekday afternoon wasnt busy 4 tables other than ourselves in the restaurant we were told to call back in 45 minutes by a male manager as there was a problem in the kitchen we did so and within15 minutes we had been seated greeted with menus and ordered drinks we then ordered our starters and mains at the same time as waiting was slow after our initial greet after we ordered it was 40 minutes when we received our starter we told the Waitress to straight get our mains ready to be brought as it had taken so long for starters so it could all be eaten together to try save time however 20 minutes later still no update on mains asked again she said she could let the chef know to make them now even though we'd already asked for this to happen, we decided to cancel the order and leave we paid what we bought was shushed to a corner to sort it after letting the manager know of the poor service wouldn't mind but staff we were walking about talking to each other yes we all need to communicate at work but they weren't discussing work and as we were leaving 4 staff members in uniform laughing eating McDonald's at a table in the restaurant! Pretty sure the owner would sack for that terrible service and customer...
