Flaming hut — Restaurant in Lancaster

Such a disappointment. This is the 2nd review I’ve left, not sure what happened to the 1st one.

We ordered 2 portions of chips, 2 pizzas and a kebab, and were given a free garlic bread. The chips were really bad - they so chewy as to point of being inedible. As your policy stated you would rather sort the issue before it becomes a bad review we rang and told you. We were told it’s because they had just changed the oil - thing us, that should make better chips, not worse ones! I stated that they shouldn’t be chewy, and was then told that they had been having problems with this. As the pizzas and kebab looked good, we said that we would eat the rest of the meal, and go from there. We were not offered any recompense or replacement food, even though it is stated as standard customer service. Sadly, the rest of the food looked good, and that’s as far as it went. Both pizzas were doughy and greasy, which was a real shame, and the kebab was very dry and seemed to be missing a large portion of kebab meat - the cabbage and onion far outweighed anything else. As for the free garlic bread? It hadn’t even been cooked all the way through, mind you, the seagulls we left it out for didn’t seem to mind too much! Ngl if I could give this place a negative 1 I would and that's being kind it took 20minutes for someone to serve me with zero customers in store as they was nattering about and so behind on others food even forgot to pack certain items for a phone order even the delivery driver was ranting how nothing was ready yet. Their chips are absolutely awful I've never known chips to be like cardboard plus have no flavour even the burger I asked for ketchup on and salt on the chips nothing was put on but a peice of red onion on my flavourless burger I could've cooked better in the sahari desort. Waited almost 1hour for some sausage and chips once awful waste of money and no need for such a slow service sorry but how do chips come out paler then my anemic arm and have 0 taste at the same time I don't usually complain but 2nd time going giving the benifit of the doubt and the chips I cannot express how bad they are it's like their cooked in water. Also looking the reviews how is it professional to reply back like your arguing with your 12 year old friend also cannot stand critissm and we all seem to be wrong? Or lying and the amount of bad reviews pretty sure the judge would throw the book at you. Whoever owns this place needs...

I've never in all my life experienced this type of poor service and I've been in the catering and hospitality all my life! 3 hours it took for my order which I called at least 18 times to have different people speaking to me who weres extremely rude with no apology, it was the delivery girl who apologized, to then be told I will get a discount for the 3 hour wait when I still paid for the meal I rung up and said I was told I'd get a discount to them replied we have we knocked off the goujons, so £3.50 off of £25 for a 3 hour wait and cost me that in phone calls!
