The Foodworks Restaurant — Restaurant in Lancaster

On our recent staycation at the Lancaster House Hotel, we got the chance to sample this restaurant.

We tried the following: 》8oz Cumbrian Lamb Rump served with douphinoise potatoes, sauteed greens, pistachio crumbs, port wine sauce 》Pan-fried Seabass Fillet with tarragon cream 》Longhorn Meatballs, spiced pork and Longhorn beef meatballs with mozzarella, rich tomato and chilli ragout 》Pan-fried King Prawns with garlic, tequila and lime butter 》Sticky Toffee Pudding with ginger snap, clotted cream vanilla ice cream, toffee sauce 》Almond and Coconut Crème Caramel

Everything was beautifully presented from the enticing starters to the delectable mains and heavenly desserts. The tender Cumbrian Lamb rump and hearty pan-fried seabass fillet were cooked to perfection with balanced flavours complimented by the other elements on the plate, they were able to showcase the best of Lancashire's local produce which is truly commendable - We really enjoyed this meal.

The Foodworks Restaurant brasserie-style menu offers traditional classics with a twist. They are regionally sourced aiming to support Lancashire farmers and artisan producers.

Came here for dinner on Valentine’s Day. It was easy to create a booking online, which is more convenient than calling them. The food prices are pretty high, but I have to say that the food was good; however, the portions could be improved on as they were pretty preservative with that. Furthermore, they are pretty generous with the salt in some dishes, so you might want to keep that in mind. The restaurant is located in a hotel and isn’t that loud a nice place to go with someone for dinner or lunch. Another thing to mention is that at night there is nice ambient lighting that reduces the strain on your eyes and makes the environment...
