New addition to Leeds cafe scene. Very good coffees and huge range of food. Plenty of comfortable seating areas.

December 2021 updated review - still great coffee. I keep returning here but it gets worse unfortunately. Service speed has slipped a lot. Today's espresso (out of peak times with at least 3 staff behind the counter) was not very espresso - over 12 minutes! Table service seems to be a touch chaotic. They are always apologising for the delay..

UPDATE October 2024 : Great coffee and pleasant staff - that's once you've run the gauntlet of cigarette smoke around the door. It's a great shame that such a good cafƩ throws it away by having 100% smoking tables outside the front door. A small minority of the population smoke but the vast majority have to suffer from the effects... .. Once you get in there is a good choice of pastries and cakes. The coffee is definitely great. I'm still unsure about the order system, they bring the coffee to you. Seems time consuming but it's not a problem.

Great coffee. Very pleasant staff. Still a slightly disjointed way of getting the drinks - you order pay and sit down. They bring the drinks to you - must be time con and possibly annoying for the staff when people don't answer the call.. Too smokey outside but you can't have everything.

UPDATE - this business has ceased to be an independent. CaffĆØ Nero have bought them out. End of my involvement I'm afraid. Shocking.

CaffĆØ Nero is owned offshore. Some would say a little murky, Luxembourg and Italy... Doesn't appear to pay much in the way of corporation tax given it's huge turnover. I think it's a shame that 200 degrees...

I am writing to express my frustration regarding an incident that occurred during my recent visit to your restaurant on [19/8/2024]. While I have always enjoyed dining at your establishment, the experience I had during this visit has left me feeling disrespected and unwelcome.

Upon arriving at your restaurant, I was informed by your staff that I would not be allowed to consume food that I had brought with me from outside. While I fully understand and respect the restaurant’s policy regarding outside food, I was taken aback by the way this was communicated to me.ā€œThe staff member who approached me did so in a confrontational and dismissive manner, making me feel as though I was being reprimanded rather than simply informed of the restaurant’s rules.ā€]

As a customer, I believe it is important to be treated with kindness and respect, regardless of the situation. However, in this instance, I felt that the staff’s tone and approach were unnecessarily harsh and unprofessional.

While I understand the need to maintain certain policies, I believe that this could have been handled in a more courteous and understanding manner. I hope that you will address this issue with your staff to ensure that future interactions with customers are more respectful and considerate.

I would appreciate your response to this letter, outlining any steps you plan to take to prevent similar incidents in the future. I value the experience of dining at your restaurant and hope that this issue can be resolved.

Thank you for your attention to...

Complaining about one of the staff his name is Tom who works at 200 leeds city centre. On 19/01/2025 at 15:55 pm, I was sitting at the 200 cafe,,inside front table. They keep the door open and people outside tables were smoking and smoke was coming inside as I have health issue and I could not breath because of smoking, he was stress me out . I have kindly as manager to close the door and she asked the people not to smoke next to the door, but she said that if still smoke inside so we can close the door., She close the door as still people are smoking outside,

Suddenly one the staff came and kept the door open , I have asked him if you can talk to manager before to keep the door open maybe you do not know, but he said yes I knew but it is warm inside!!! He was very rude and I told him she close the door because of the smoke not because it is war , AND IT IS NOT WARM, I asked him to talk to manager . he ignored me ! He again kept the door open and came to my table and asked me to change my table to go inside, He keeps distressing me I told him I have health condition and I think he could take a shower before come to work, instead of asking me to change my table because I have heath condition. Unfortunately the tee is no respect to customers at all at this cafe, even the manager came and kept...

The best place in city centre, where you can grab a coffee! The place where..the coffee is A Proper Coffee. Came here for a coffee in the Sunday afternoon and the place was very busy ( it was around 3pm). The coffee shop has an outside seating area, where you can smoke and is not gonna rain on you. The person who served us, her name: Anda 10/10 polite, very helpful, friendly, a big smile on her face, something you want to see, gives you a good vibe. The coffee: 10/10. Usually when we order a latte, either is to frothy or none. This was amazing. They even had a staff member who was coming outside to clean the tables, bringing drinks to the table. This coffee shop is from another dimension! Well done!

If i were to choose one coffee shop to visit in Leeds city center it would definitely be 200 :) Perfect place to work, study, meetup with friends or simple just enjoy a cup of coffee. REALLY good coffee;). The food selection is also quite varied and tasty. they also close later than "usual coffee shop closing time" which is an upside staff are friendly and they're pretty quick even when super busy ( ofc, you may wait for a few sometimes )-- although a staff member on two separate occasions has asked me to either order something else or leave after staying for an hour despite the place not being busy.. surprisingly enough i don't have pictures of the place, but here's many of their coffee cups :)

Delicious coffee and super friendly staff in a super convenient location! Great for a coffee on the go to work or to sit in and drink with one of their pastries. The shop is clean, welcoming and nicely decorated! Edited (23/07/2024) Still love coming back here! Have now tried the sage sausage roll too, so so good. Every time I’ve come in the staff have been so so lovely and welcoming, super friendly. The atmosphere is always warm and inviting and the coffee is always great. Can’t wait to keep coming back!
