We had been looking forward to having the chicken gyros meal that we'd enjoyed for the past few times, but when we got there, they had changed the menu since our last visit. It wasn't a huge issue as its expected with food places, so we chose some of the new options. My partner chose the double bacon cheeseburger and fries for £15, and I chose the Korean chicken wrap, which was £13 with skin on fries. Both meals were really nice so will be having those again. We visited on a Saturday afternoon, and it was just right. Not too busy, so we were able to get a booth seating area. And we didn't have to wait too long for the food. The female toilets are decorated lovely, only one issue is every single toilet seat is broken so you do kind of slip off when you sit down so it won't be any help when you're on a night out after a few sherberts haha! The broken seats are not a new thing as they were like this on a leaving do last year, so a little cheeky request to the Manager to get these fixed please! It's quite a good-sized bar with decent amounts of seating. There's bar games you can book a night out with friends which are quite good fun. There's takeaway canned beer options. There's a small outside seating area so you can watch the shoppers go by. It is situated behind Boots on the back side of Trinity. If you come out of the side of Boots where punk pizza is, turn left and head towards Park Row, it is just on the left hand corner opposite Tesco.

Feels like a high-end American Brew Pub Chain If I walked into this place in Colorado Springs, this is about what I'd expect to find. The place is huge and it's obviously had a ton of money spent on it. The beer-on-tap selection is good, while the bottled/canned selection is positively heroic. Prices are about what you'd expect for a high-end city-center craft beer pub. The only minor bugbear was that the bar was understaffed, given the number of people in the place during my visit. This made waiting times somewhat longer than they needed to be. Despite that, service was friendly and welcoming, and the overall atmosphere warm and cordial. I'll be giving this place another shot next time I'm in town.

Been in a few times before on an evening and they often do have some nice ales on. We've eaten here too and were not impressed with the food, very basic. Popped in today at mid-day. £13.40 for an ale and two cokes. The ale was off, so they were going to swap it for me after pulling through some more. That barrel had got to it's end, so poured me a different ale. First pulled one of those through, then gave me the next pint out of it. Clearly no-one had had the ales yet that day. That one tasted like vinegar again too. Just left it. My Daughter also didn't drink her coke as it had a slice of lemon in it, and she has a thing about fruit in drinks. Oh well. Probably won't go again.

** update

I had already emailed to example all this after they asked me for a review - and no one has replied - clearly don't care

On arrival the bouncers were very rude due to us having fancy dress outfits on - that were not over the top May I add just colourful pants and jackets no wigs or anything rude.

I explained we had a Booking for a bday and had been speaking only that day to sort out final details of and was told he didn’t care. Thankfully we were then let in after basically begging what a mistake that was.

Once at our table a very rude male bar staff came and shouted at us to take of our Jackets, he’s was extremely rude and we wanted to leave there and then, upsetting the birthday girl.

The Prosecco came and we tired to just leave it go over our heads and looked forward to shuffleboard.

Sadly no one came to us about it and I had to ask at the bar what was happening with it, to which again I was rudely spoken too, turned away to speak to the person at the door.

They checked a list and said something along the lines of ā€œ yea have you not done it? Just go to the board and playā€

I told him people were on the shuffleboard tables and he just walked me over told them get off and left.

Was so disappointing thought maybe he would explain the rules or at least be more friendly.

Complete waste of money to see people were just using the boards as they wanted.

Never would recommend or book here again sadly, really ruined the night as we both enjoy coming in the day for drinks but it was like we walked into a different place completely.

Left and all our guests could say is ā€œwell hopefully the next place will be friendlyā€

So embarrassing.

Having worked in a busy bar myself understand it can be stressful for staff when busy but this was just rudeness from the start and completely...

I usually only call in here for the wide range of Belgian Beers but yesterday I took my sister to the one on the corner of Bond Street, as we were hungry and wanted food. Seriously the worst experience I’ve had eating out in about 20 years. We ordered the vegetarian pizza and a vegetarian kebab (we’re not vegetarian but sounded nice). I should have taken a picture as it even looked terrible. We had a go at the pizza (which had toppings missing) as we were starving, whilst sending the clap cold kebab back. We said it was okay put it in the microwave as we’re not precious and wasn’t bothered about a new one. We were told they’d bring a new one anyway, but unbelievably it was exactly the same. All I can say is it looked and tasted like something that’d been left out all night. I’d suggest microwaving the kebab as it might soften the stale and cold bread (tip I learnt as a student). I’m prepared to pay Ā£6 for a bottle of Chimay, but Ā£20+ for that food is a crime. I’m sure we could even sue as you advertise ā€œgreat foodā€ on entrance and seriously, my teenage nephew can make a more palatable meal and that’s saying something. Such a shame as I was trying to sell the place to my sister so I can get her in there more often and have my beloved Belgian Beers. On a positive (other than beer), the staff were super helpful and friendly and very quick to serve.

Update; I appreciate being contacted by the manager asking for a second chance. I’m not sure when I’ll be back for food, but will try and take them up on their offer and hopefully report back that it was an ā€˜exception’ rather...
