Poor service. I would give no stars if it was an option. On entering no-one greeted us we had booked a table for 7:30pm a couple were waiting ahead of us who had booked a table for 7pm. We were offered a table in front of the staff door right next to the toilet door whilst the other couple waited for a seat in the actual restaurant (one can only assume they didn't want that table either as why weren't they sat there first).

No one wants to eat in front of the staff exit and the toilets, right next to the bar where people stand around you waiting for their table. When we said we didn't want to sit there and asked for another table, we were told 'This is your table' and that was it. A bigger party of 4 came in, who had not booked, so they got the better service!! Do better!

That table wasn't reserved for us as a other couple were waiting. You also fit a walk in before deal with customer who had actually booked!!!!!

UPDATE In response to the message from the restaurant. It was obvious that you were busy. However, the way you handled the situation with such a rude attitude. Plus over the phone when we spoke you explained that the walk in took our table so your statement here is false. I would suggest you remove the table in question as this would allow you to host diners that are having to wait. For us, we will not be returning as the reality of experience shows where you...

First visit to this gem of a place, after so many recommendations from friends. We booked as very in demand and were only waiting a few minutes for our table. Lovely velvety house red and very reasonably priced at £16. We ordered starters, calamari, meatballs & garlic mushrooms, all delicious and empty plates all round. 😋 Mains were Amici pizza, lobster ravioli & pasta Arabietta. First two were delicious. The Arabietta blew your head off!! We were warned it was hot, but this was on fire 🔥. When you are used to hot/ spicy food, you don't expect not to be able to eat it 😡 But, fair doo's we were asked if we wanted something else, but after sharing the pizza, this was not needed. Also we weren't charged for the Arabietta 🙏🥰 and they couldn't have been more apologetic. Couldn't manage afters as we were all too full. On the house limoncello shots to cleanse the palate, delicious. Overall excellent food, service & atmosphere deserving an excellent ...

I had specifically booked a particular table for my birthday celebration, so it was incredibly disappointing to arrive on Saturday and find that the same space was being used to host a private party. What made the situation worse was that no one from the venue reached out beforehand to inform me of this change—something I believe should have been a basic courtesy.

Unfortunately, the host showed little concern or accountability when the issue was raised. The group occupying the area—a party of 10 quite loud and visibly intoxicated guests—completely dominated the space, creating a rowdy atmosphere. At no point did the staff step in to manage the noise levels or remind them that others were dining as well.

While I have to say the food was excellent, the lack of communication,...

Yet another absolutely delicious meal at Amici! In the short time it’s been open, it’s become our go-to place to eat. As such, we’ve sampled a LOT of the menu - usually swayed by the range of exciting specials - but also have enjoyed many of the classic Italian dishes too. Everything is always so tasty and the staff are impeccable; so friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable about both the food and wine menus. Their red wine selection is also to die for! We’ve found our favourite red of all time from Amarone. The restaurant itself is also so relaxed and cosy - perfect for a nice romantic date night! Price-wise, it’s such good value for money! The pictures I’ve added are from various trips there to show the range. If you haven’t tried this place yet, put it on your list!

A solid menu with lots of options (plus a selection of specials), incredibly friendly and efficient service and nice ambience, albeit a little on the warm side today. Food of a high standard and full of flavour, the 4 cheese pizza (a mysterious undocumented cheese combo) was great and the pasta I tried was good too, everyone in the party was happy. The complimentary bread and olives were a nice treat at the start. Prices are very keen, pizza compares with some local takeaway options with the benefit of eating in for the same money. I'm looking forward to visiting again.
