Coming to the Lime Tree is a real treat, the cuisine is not something my wife and I normally go for and it was really nice to step out of our comfort zone and try new, exciting dishes. After going for what we'd call 'safe' starters (food we've had before- calamari and halloumi) we explored the diverse menu (which contains firm favourites like pasta, pizza and burgers if you're not feeling brave!) my wife opted for the Karinyaki (aubergine stuffed with minced lamb and onions topped with cheese and served with esme and tzatsiki) while I opted for Pollo Vito (chicken in a slightly spicy sauce topped with aubergines, courgettes and a large slab of goat's cheese). Both were amazing! Cooked to perfection and with a wonderful mix of tastes that all combined into a real find, and one we'll both be having again. It felt almost rude not to try the dessert so I opted for the Baklava (pistachios in filo pastry with honey and ice cream) while my wife opted for a pornstar martini. The portion was just right, not too heavy and with is being quite a sweet dish it was just the right size to fill the gap without being sickly. With 4 drinks between us and all this food, the bill coming in at under £85 was also a real treat, the food is superb and I can't wait to go back and try even more of the Turkish cuisine.

Visit lime tree quite regularly and even more so now they do breakfast. I have been for breakfast twice, and although people usually assume that a cooked breakfast is unhealthy I must say this is the healthiest breakfast I have ever eaten. I opted for the vegetarian breakfast, it was well presented, freshly cooked and was delicious. The waiter is really nice and accommodating and ensure that we were comfortable, he was really smiley and chatty. I ate breakfast outside as it was a nice day, and the terrace area is beautiful and has a roof to protect you from any minimal rain drops. The place is popular and alot of family and friends also regularly eat here. Does get busy on an evening, more so on a weekend so it is advisable to book prior to avoid dissappointment

We visited the Lime Tree for the first occasion over the weekend. There was certainly a broad range on the menu with a strong Turkish influence with moderate Italian/Greek dishes. The pictures are the Mixed Hot Meze, Moroccan Lamb and the Special Mixed Grill. The portion sizes were very significant which is possibly one point to bear in mind, before you order. Overall the meat was cooked to a relatively high standard, a good ambience and the staff seemed friendly. Therefore, I would certainly recommend if you have a big appetite. On a final point, it maybe beneficial to have the complete drinks menu available on the website in addition to the Main menu.

A nice place to eat as it's nicely laid out. The food though was hit and miss! One meal was nice and as described on the menu. The other was not! Eggs Sorrento. Crab cakeS with two poached eggs and Hollandaise sauce. All the other similar meals came with/on a muffin. This one didn't mention muffin which was why it was chosen. The meal arrived with two poached eggs on a muffin and a cheap, overcooked crab cake. A single crab cake when the menu stated CAKES! My wife asked where the other crab cake was and was told it only came with one. When asked why their menu said cakes, plural, she was told, that's how it comes! Then to cap it all there was a hair in it. When my wife called the waiter and told him, his response was "can you point out the hair please"! He then took the meal away and that was it. Nobody came to apologize, or offer any replacement, nothing. The meal wasn't charged when we paid the bill and we left. I doubt we'll be going back. I've only given three stars for atmosphere because it wasn't very busy while we were there. It was getting busier when we were...

Not a great experience and it gives the impression it should be so much better than it was. Not sure how long the place has been open but the decor is very clean and tidy and the ambience was very pleasant. Service was good, polite and friendly and efficient. The food however was a bit tasteless and bland. There were 3 of us and we all plumped for the starter and main course option at £19.99 per head. The food arrived promptly and accurately but was sadly lacking in excitement. A small problem arrived when we got the bill and the meal deal we ordered wasn't on the bill and we were charged over £10 more than we should have been. The manager informed us that deal wasn't available but there was no mention of it on the menu or on their website. After a discussion with a member of staff and the Manager the bill was eventually reduced to apply the discount. Not the...
