AVOID. After 1.5 hours of waiting they cancelled my order. I asked them why and they simply said they didnāt get round to it. Asked why they accepted my order if they where so busy. She couldnāt give me a satisfactory answer. Also big attitude over the phone. Clearly this place is run by incompetent staff who cannot time manage.

I was told by your MANAGER who was working on the day. She came across as being very harassed and rushed. I was told by her that they where over run with orders and that SHE cancelled the order herself through the justeat system. She never mentioned anything about her calling just eat and asking them for advice.
Also I was tracking this order from begging to end and YOU accepted the order as soon as I placed it. Then a courier was assigned with in 5 mins. They turned up and you turned them away (on the first call I made to you, one of your staff confirmed that YOU turned them away) due to not even starting my order. I saw the courier drive away. A different courier was then assigned. They turned up to your shop and at that point my order was cancelled by YOU (confirmed when I then spoke to your manager after the cancellation to see what the hell is going on). So not much of an investigation then!!!!! Your team have clearly lied to you about what happened.
Yes we did use you for our morning breaky often. But after how all this went down this time. It was enough for me to cut ties with you. The staff member on the first call was rude when answering the phone, didnāt know what she was talking about half the time. The second call to your āmanagerā was just as bad, rude rushed and just wanted me off the phone. No sorry no empathy about my situation just explained what SHE had chose to do.
So in conclusion, STILL AVOID AT ALL COSTS. they clearly lie to save there backs. If they would have called me to say itās going to be very late or I can cancel the order sooner then that would have been better customer service. But they all knew they where over run and under staffed and just let my order fall by the wayside. Like it...

My lovely daughter purchased a "Truly Scrumptious" afternoon tea from Nigella's for my birthday (to share with my mum). Nigella's had had a power cut on the morning of collection, so I think we were very fortunate to get ours. Anyway, first impressions were WOW. It looked so beautiful.
The savoury box was beautifully presented & garnished with cherry tomatoes, spinach leaves & rosemary. The sandwiches were finger sized, made with white and brown bread. The fillings being ham, beef, turkey, and cheese - they were all, very tasty!
The cheese & onion tart was the best I've ever had. It was so, so very tasty! As for the Stephensons Yorkshire pasty, sausage roll & pork pie they were also the best we've had too - we ended up ordering a selection direct from them (I believe you can also order from Nigella's).
The sweet selection was beautifully presented & garnished with strawberries. The first thing we tried was the meringue; it was just melt in your mouth, gorgeousness. The battenburg slice was truly the best we've ever had! The cream horn was delightful; the brownie was pure chocolate heaven, the bakewell was the most buttery, almondy slice I've ever had & sadly, we never got chance to eat the scones on the day. So by the time we did (2 days later), they were a little dry & we know, we should've eaten the same day as I'm sure, they'd have been beautiful. The scones came with a pat of butter, strawberry jam, and a small tub of clotted cream.
This was "Truly Scrumptious," & it certainly lived up to its title! One of the best, if not, the best afternoon tea we've ever had. The variety & quality was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreToday my wife and I took my granddaughter for an afternoon tea, a treat for her 14th birthday. We chose the Ā£22 per person option and paid Ā£32.98 COMPULSORY deposit. We had seen the great reviews and travelled from Monk Fryston to Morley. Quite a journey but we thought it would be a great treat for all of us. On arrival we were greeted by a friendly welcoming lady and our table was set ready. She very promptly served a large pot of tea and a coke. Our afternoon tea arrived on two lovely stands. Sadly, we had lots of sandwiches but they lacked filling. Not to be deterred we left the sandwiches and attempted to try the scones. We cut them open and established they were hard and dry. We could not eat them. My wife asked for assistance and when she tried to explain we were not happy with the afternoon tea, she was told only the manager could help but she was only available by telephone. The assistant very promptly made the call to the manager. Sadly after expressing our disappointment, the manager started to shout. My wife asked her not to shout but she continued. My wife was quite upset because our complaint was not being dealt with and to be honest we were still hungry. She handed the phone back to the assistant and we all left the cafe. Ā£32.98 for tea, a can of coke and a few poor finger sandwiches, this was a very costly and bad experience We do not want this to happen to anyone else. We were not expecting āThe Ritzā just a fresh tasty Yorkshire afternoon tea. My wife and I are OAPās and like everyone we need to watch our budget. Iām sure the manager will reply promptly to this review and sadly will not offer an apology or refund because customer service is non existent...
