Fat Friday again folks 😁 So decided to give this independent coffee shop a try. First impressions, place looks cool and is opposite a park, there are normally tables outside, which would be really nice, but because of covid, they can't put them out yet. The restaurant and counter areas look really nice too 😊 Reminds me of a coffee shop in London or Leeds, they've done a really good job of the decorating. We ordered a pulled pork panini, a meat feast panini, a biscoff cake and two caramel lattes, the bill came to £19.70 The paninis were soft, but grilled, coffee was good quality and the biscoff was 👌 The two members of staff were really, really friendly, we had a laugh while I was there, not your usual quite servers 😉 They are following all the covid regulations and it is 1 in, 1 out. There's lots of parking tho, I'll definitely come back again when it's warmer and maybe sit outside. They have been given an alcohol licence, so a glass of wine will be available soon 😁 Highly recommended and definitely worth...
Read moreHonestly, this place blew me away. A relaxed atmosphere and great service. The cafe owner was so friendly and helpful, but also totally genuine. We had two coffees and also a light lunch. I had an omelette and the other item was a baked potato with chilli beef. These were both made to order and were excellent. The omelette was lightly seasoned, not salty and cooked to just the right point i.e. not rubbery and overcooked. The baked potato was, of course a potato, but it was nice. However the, chili beef topping made the dish and was tasty, not too spicy but not at all bland meaning you could taste the ingredients properly. What a nice place. When we come back to Yorkshire we'll definitely call in again and might bring the dog. Dogs are allowed, if well behaved, and catered for with doggy treats and water. Parking is available on the road and over the road so you should have no trouble parking. It's usually open seven days (Sunday morning ish) and until 2pm the rest...
Read moreBeen 5 years since I last posted a review of this delightful cafe. Adam and Andy took over around 10 months ago, and they ha e not just maintained the excellent standards they have greatly improved them. The sweet treats are al home made and delicious with great variety. The breakfasts and lunch menus are varied and there are weekly specials. Everything is cooked and prepared to a high standard. With Daniel also sharing the cooking duties, the cafe is able to open 7 days a week. All the staff are wonderful, you always get a welcome smile. Hats off to Alison, Libby, Claudia and all those I forget to mention. I cannot recommend highly enough. It can be busy, particularly at breakfast time so it's...
