Bill's Restaurant in Leeds offers a solid full English breakfast that hits all the right notes: crispy bacon, savory sausages, perfectly cooked eggs, and a generous helping of baked beans, tomatoes, and toast. The quality of the food is consistent, and it’s clear they put thought into preparing a hearty, satisfying meal. The restaurant itself is clean and well-maintained, with a cozy atmosphere that makes it an enjoyable place to start your day. However, the space is quite limited, and it can feel cramped, especially during peak hours. With not enough tables to accommodate the demand, you may find yourself waiting for a seat or feeling a bit rushed once you're seated. Another downside is the coffee, which doesn’t quite live up to expectations given the price point. It's serviceable, but for a place that offers such a great breakfast, the coffee could definitely be better. Overall, while the food is a solid choice, the lack of seating and underwhelming coffee may leave you hoping for just a little bit more from the experience. Still, if you’re in the mood for a good breakfast and don’t mind a bit of a wait, Bill's is worth a visit.

Visiting Leeds for a 1 night business stay. So walked past Bills and it looked pretty decent and attractive. Got a table straight away which was super. Place seemed very dark, difficult to read the menu and my eyesight is perfect. 😀 Had Calamari for starter. Very tasty and a good portion with a little spice. Sauce provided was very small in portion size for size of starter. Ordered a drink which was delivered swiftly. Main was a butter chicken burger with chips. Again delivered quickly. Chips - fine. Burger - lacked something. Didn’t have much seasoning and was pretty bland. Didn’t have any afters. Bill came and co soldering I was eating alone had a 12.5% service charge already added. Granted it wasn’t much, but this really does wind me up. However, I paid it via card. Also left a tip for the waitress who was super for the entire time of my stay. Overall an satisfactory meal experience.

The English breakfast was really tasty and has been cooked with care and extra notes for each ingredient that makes it amazing! Salad was amazing , absolute 10/10. Orange juice even though it is half freshly squeezed and half boxed, the taste was not pleasant and sweet but rather sour but it is acceptable as oranges are seasonal fruit so it's kind of a hit or miss per batch. Decent atmosphere (a bit over crowded and loud) The lady that served us was very kind , sweet and helpful. The menu was a bit pricey but as is every other place in the city center nowadays. 12.5% tip included is an absolute joke and should be removed. we are not in america to include tips in bills. Not everyone has to tip 12.5% of that juicy priced menu but since you can ask to exclude it and add whatever tip you want I won't give negative feedback for it.

Terrible experience! False nail found inside my meal! From the time of arrival, the service was very poor to say the least. As soon as we arrived, after confirming the details of our reservation, we were told that we had a certain time limit, which I can appreciate, but for that to be the first thing we were told, was rather dismissive and quite rude I feel. We are all seated at the table (there were 8 of us altogether) it was around 10 minutes in at this point, and my mother was parched, as was I, we had travelled from another city so it was a bit of a car journey to get there, no one brought us any water, so I had to get up and grab the two water jugs myself which is not ideal in the slightest. Eventually the server arrives to take our drink order, it didn’t seem like she had much knowledge of the menu which is rather poor, she wasn’t the friendliest of servers either, my sister and brother in law asked her about what kids drinks they offer, to which she replied, we don’t do coke for kids obviously, the kids drinks will be on the menu, my brother in law nor sister mentioned coke for the kids, so not sure why she said that, we found it very rude and demeaning, at this point she went silent, so my brother in law prompted her and said do you offer juices for kids, to which she responded yes, so we ordered them juices. About 15 minutes later, our drinks finally arrived, and we noticed that the kids never got their juices, very poor on their side. However, I will give praise where praise is due, one of the servers did go and find out whether their red wines were vegan friendly which I greatly appreciated. The food arrived promptly, and we all began eating, the first thing my family mentioned was how the mac n cheese tasted sweet, we specifically ordered this for the kids as they’re picky eaters and surprise surprise, they didn’t want it as they felt that it tasted weird, so they picked at the chips which were probably the most decent bit of food we received. As I was eating my vegan schwarma, I bit onto something hard, to my absolute horror, it was a white coloured false nail! False nails should not and cannot be worn when handling food, so what does this say about the restaurants food safety and hygiene standards, to me this portrays that this establishment do not take food safety and hygiene standards seriously, and they should be investigated immediately by environmental health. I was absolutely disgusted and extremely put off my meal, and so were the rest of my family, no one had any interest in finishing their meals, so we all left our meals and desserts, and finished our drinks. I reported this to a member of staff immediately, and shortly after a manager approached me and mentioned something about a new supplier, which I believe was bollocks, excuse my language! All in all this was a very shoddy experience, from the poor service, to the food itself. It’s not often that me and my family can all make one date to get together, due to work and life commitments, so I’m sure you can imagine the sheer disappointment we all felt. Bills is not the cheapest of restaurants, and this negative experience has certainly taught me that it is simply not worth the money, nor the time. Me nor my family will ever be returning back to this poorly run...

I visited Bill’s in Leeds recently with a friend and our two young daughters (both under 2 years old). While the experience wasn’t terrible, it fell short of expectations. I used to work there and I know it gets hectic during busy times but there is definitely room for improvement.

We ordered the kids’ meals ahead of ours, hoping they would arrive first so the little ones wouldn’t have to wait. We chose fish fingers with peas and mash, and buttered chicken with fries and beans. Unfortunately, our starters arrived before the children’s meals, which isn’t ideal when you’re dining with toddlers who can’t exactly wait patiently.

When the kids’ food did eventually come out, both plates had fries ,no mash. We had to ask for the mash separately. The meals were also served on boiling hot plates, which is a real safety concern for young children.

Later on, I was served the vegan duck curry instead of the regular one I ordered. While they did take it back and correct the mistake, it meant my friend was eating while I sat waiting. At the same time, an extra portion of fries was dropped off at our table unrequested. We didn’t realize at first, and by the time we did, they’d cooled down and weren’t worth sending back, so we nibbled on them. When the bill arrived, they tried to charge us for the extra portion on top of all the earlier mistakes.

All in all, the food was decent and the atmosphere pleasant, but the service left us feeling disappointed: multiple errors, and the lack of genuine apologies. Hopefully, we will have a better experience next time! For families, especially those dining with young children timing and safety...

This restaurant is the worst restaurant in Britain! If you want to be respected, you should respect others first! As an Asian, I felt really offended. First of all, the food here was expensive and tastes awful! The eggs were too salty which made me and my friends felt hard to swallow! Also about the dessert, the one with the shape of a potting tasted like anti-influenza complex granule! EWWWWW😷The brownie was also toooooooo sweet! However, the most important and uncomfortable part was about the attitude and RACIST‼️When we walk into the front door, there were two groups of people standing in front of us, holding huge menus in their hands. I can clearly remember that during the 5 minutes when we were just standing there, nobody came to us to communicate with us. Especially when there was the manager who went through us, asked the family behind us and two girls who came even after that weather they had a reservation. Eventually was our turn to enter, I just asked the waiter if he had ever seen us and why those people behind us were served?? He told me that it was because they had a reservation. However, the point was those two girls didn’t reserve also have been greeted by them!! When we were supposed to get in, the waiter called Rey told me that he’s not there to be spoken like that. Then why do you, the waiter and manager here treated us and ignored us like that! After meal, we called the manager who kept making excuses and was buck-passing all the time. She even lied to us that they had asked us and we were chatting and ignored them which was totally a false. And Rey even told her that we said rude words to him!...
