Croissant D'Or — Restaurant in Leeds

Its going downhill unfortunately. Used to love the place but recently my experience hasnt been so good. I ordered a few things and my hot food looked like it had been run over by a car. I thought it might be a one off and have in fact given 2 more chances but one of the times the pastry item i got was very very stale and the pain au chocolates are not even up to the standard of Sainsburys which is just down the road and nowhere near M&S. Popped in for a loaf, as I was passing. Noticed a great selection of hand baked artisan bread. I bought a loaf, but I couldn't resist a pain au chocolate pastry. I noted a great selection of hand-made baked goods. It wasn't until I arrived home & tucked in, that I realised how absolutely delicious everything was. I've been back several times in the last week. Delicious pastries! I purchased a raspberry croissant and it was amazing, sweet and savory. My partner got a custard filled pain au chocolat and he loved it (even I enjoyed it and I'm not a custard fan!)
