El Faro — Restaurant in Leeds

Absolutely disappointed. Would have rate it 0 but I couldn’t. Ordered whilst they were on holiday as they forget to change their website status to closed , and I had no idea they weren’t open , that was on the 3th of the month . After waiting 1h for food and later trying to call and see what’s happening, I went to their shop cause no-one was answering, only to see that they had a note that they will be back on the 15th of the month as they are in holiday … so I waited until they’ve came back because the money for food have been taken out from my account and I had no doubt that we will sort it out somehow and was no point on leaving a review or try through the bank to get the money back .I’ve called when they came back , the owner seemed like he wasn’t believing that I placed and order because their website was closed although I explained that I have the bank statement with the transaction and also the website I placed the order from was linked to their google account and was showing as them being open but there is no problem I will come to the shop and show him were I placed the order on .When I went there , he was still questioning were I placed the order as that isn’t their website, showed him the transaction but he kept saying he had no order because his website was closed and the phone was ringing with customers that had same problem as mine . He answered all his calls but was never bothered to try and sort the problem with me , although I was right there … waiting for him…. Because he was still denying I placed an order whilst I was inside the shop to see if that order comes through and it did…. I said to him that is my order and is the same website I previously used… he carried on talking to other customers, ignoring me… I was shocked and disappointed and I said I will raise the issue through the bank as I haven’t came there to argue or beg for my money… his attitude towards a customer that paid for food but hasn’t received anything was very...

El Faro let me make an order through their website (which said it was open alongside Google - they can set the website to not take orders as I've seen them do it before), said it would be delivered in 25 mins - an hour later it still hadn't come. Rang multiple times, no answer. Ended up having to drive there to check what was going on and the shop was fully closed. No idea how I'll get my money back because the still-processing order can't be cancelled through their website and I can't do a chargeback through my bank - it seems like I'll have to email whatever random company they use to take orders if they don't finally cancel the order whenever they do open next (who knows when that'll be since their website and Google can't...

I have been going here for the past Ten years or so. This is one excellent little takeaway, the staff are friendly and the food is superb. The pizza's are the best in Leeds and the price is very good for the quality of the pizza's. The 50/50 Pizzas are my favorite from here, and if you dare the 16" pizza, that's a beast. I would recommend this takeaway to anyone North side of Leeds. The delivery service is fast and a great delivery driver. 10/10 all day long. Please try this place and find out how good this place really is...
