Called up to order a dinner meat and chips for delivery. Order came to £5.60 & delivery fee, the person on the phone told me I needed to make the order £8 plus delivery fee so i asked him what he suggested. He said a can of coke.. I said ok. He then told me the order would take 40 mins to deliver 5 minutes away (which I understand it’s Friday night it’s busy) the order was delivered then 40 minutes later. The portion of chips was much smaller than normal and there was more meat which I wasn’t happy about as I was looking forward to the chips. The chips came lukewarm and the dinner meat not far off. They were also extremely soggy from all the chilli put on them. I looked at the receipt and there the dinner meat and chips, a ‘miscellaneous’ item that was £1.20, the £2 delivery fee and £1.20 on the can of coke. I received nothing extra for the £1.20 and when I called up I was told that he added the cost to get it up to £8 and the chips were not cold (which they were) as I live just around the corner. Pains me to do it but after over 15 years of coming here, the food quality has gone right down the pan. Onion Bhajis have been undercooked (and raw in the middle) the last 4 times I've got them. I've had a few stomach upsets after getting the same food I always order the last 3 times and the icing on the cake which forced me to look elsewhere for food of this type was a shard of metal on my meal (not tin foil as I wouldn't have been bothered by that). Called up to advise and they didn't seem overly concerned. I personally feel that quality of food has dropped to make way for promotions and competitions like 50% off when you spend £40 or more. If I could give minus stars I would. So ordered five meals, the donner was flat cold, had only half a pitta which must have been ripped. Popadoms were all burnt with black all over. Chicken tikka really rubbery and could not chew. Chips had frozen ones mixed in too!! DO NOT EAT FROM HERE!!!! I will be reporting to food hygiene for the frozen chips.
