Had a bit of a confusing night. Bar staff were great and really helpful. My party and I had a karaoke room booked and we arrived early and were advised to wait while the room was still in use. In this time we purchased drinks and went and sat down for a chill before our time slot. However a completely different matter happened with another group that we were then wrongly accused of doing. I myself personally tried to speak to the manager on site however was met with no regard and was given no chance to prove my parties innocence on the incident as we were fully aware we had done nothing wrong we asked how we could get our money back for the booking and were met with a statement along the lines of you won’t be getting your money back. Granted if what we had been accused of was in fact true I would have walked away understanding that we wouldn’t get a refund but the fact there was no sign of justification from the manager really disrupted our night and reflected quite badly on the business. There were a few choice words from one of the members of our party however given the circumstances and the manger’s approach to the situation those choice words could be seen as somewhat valid. The security on site were great and were understanding of our point against the false accusation. Their respect for our point should be applauded and should be praised however the manager on site was very disregarding and made what could have been a simple resolution into a difficult encounter. I will still attend Roxy sites however this has been quite distressing and a...
Read moreThis is definitely the place to be if you like table tennis. Or pool all that sliding thing which I forgot what it's called right now. There are 3 Roxy ball rooms in town one is on the bottom on boar Lane Then there's the Merrion Centre one. And there is another one. Near Boots near Tesco's I found the Merrion Centre one is the best the staff are absolutely fantastic. The atmosphere is just right. And I like that you can separate yourself from all the games and have a drink downstairs. If you're not interested in the games or the tables. Are fully booked and you need to wait. And even then there are pool tables downstairs. Also but you feel like you are in a normal pub downstairs. Where as upstairs everybody is gaming? Many a times we overran. Our time frame for playing on the games. But the staff are always kind enough to give us a gentle reminder. They were never too pushy. Also if they make a mistake and double booked baby or let someone run over they will give you a table for free. I have been here many times and love...
Read moreI attended Roxy Ball Room on a works night out. The atmosphere and decor were spot on. The music was good and at a level which enabled you to have a conversation. It was a warm evening, so we sat in the outdoor seating area for a while. The staff were brilliant and really couldn't do enough for us. They were extremely friendly and obliging. I had a gluten free pepperoni pizza which was the best gluten free pizza I've ever had. The staff made every attempt to keep my food separate and therefore safe. We had a brilliant time playing pool. There were other games and a photo booth. I will definitely return as they have my favourite cocktail on their extensive cocktail menu. I heartily...
