This new restaurant caught my eye as it has replaced Wolfox. I was always intrigued by Wolfox - I liked the logo but it was never open.
Anyway, that led me to look this up and it had good reviews and is apparently somewhat of a local legend, in a former location. Good enough for me so I gave it a go.
Booked online but relatively quiet. Vibe inside is nice - spacious, with good separation between tables. A lot of bare brick on the walls.
Menu is small but has good options - sheekh kebab to start, of course, followed by the signature lamb nehari - both excellent. The nehari has a lot of sauce and delicate flavour.
Keema naan on the side cut like a pizza. First time for that. Novel.
The beer was Cobra. Naturally.
Boisterous table opposite had a family naan, hung of a tree. Nostalgia. Made me remember the famous family naans of the late Sartaj.

Not pictured: Desi Handi (made with chicken wings) chapati and garlic naan. The gravy was something in-between a home style saalan and qourma which was really nice. The chapati and naan were super...

The Bhajis were slightly on the dry side, the lamb chops appeared to be boiled rather than grilled so overall not impressed by the starters. The Main of Lamb Nihari was delicious as were the breads. The rice not so good as it was wet. Service wasn't great, had to request some things twice and annoyingly mains were brought to the table while starter plates and popadom trays hadn't...
