A hidden gem. What a find. In these strange times, towns and city centres are quiet, shops and restaurants are having it really hard. We have tried most of the regular (Branded) haunts in Leeds City Centre over the years, and if honest, have experienced a decline in both food and service quality. We became aware of this Italian Restaurant some time ago, a little off the beaten track, that said, only a five minute walk from the train Station, Restaurant Bar and Grill etc. The location is actually York Place and not Park Place as seems to be indicated on the web site. Usual haunts not available, we googled and called to book an early evening table. What a delight, exceptional food and service. On announcing our first visit we were offered a complimentary glass of Prosecco. My starter (Calamari Fritti) and main (Carbonara) we’re genuinely as good as I have experienced locally. It appears the owners only took over this place in March, talk about timing! Great Quality and exceptional value. They deserve success. We will...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Da Vita Ristorante in Leeds, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that immediately set the tone for the evening.
The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the food. Each dish was bursting with authentic Italian flavors, transporting me straight to Italy with every bite. The menu offers a wonderful variety of traditional Italian dishes, and everything I tried was cooked to perfection. The ingredients were fresh, and the presentation was impeccable.
The service was also top-notch. The staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations that enhanced the overall dining experience.
In summary, Da Vita Ristorante is a gem in Leeds for anyone craving genuine Italian cuisine. I highly recommend it for its delicious food, fantastic ambiance, and excellent service. I'll definitely be...
Read moreThis place seems to be looking to appear an upmarket Sardinian/Italian to distinguish itself from a plethora of other spots in this quite professional area of Leeds. There was a subtly enthusiastic greeter/owner(?) and quite smart staff, sadly obviously a bit offended by a couple of unfortunate offhand remarks by our dear friend. The lunchtime food including an unexpected but enjoyable amuse was good. My fish platter (£29.50 ish) was mainly good: the several grilled prawns were unfortunately overdone, however the sea bass, salmon, monkfish & mussels au gratin were good. My starter of fried buffata with pesto & tomato sauce is also worth £11.50. My 3 companions largely enjoyed their different lunches. The clientele on a Tuesday lunchtime seemed to be professional singles or quartets. Sadly an upset sommelier? spoiled the end of our meal after an injudicious query ref measures of whisky. Perhaps those non-professionals looking for lunch here should reconsider, to the...
