Very disappointed, will not be returning.
They had us wait outside in the cold for 20 minutes because we had not booked a table. There were easily 8 tables empty which were ALL still empty by the time we left the place 2 hours later.
After 20 minutes of waiting outside, no one had come to collect us so I then went back inside to ask if they had a table for us. The waiter said he would check, then seated us on what can only be described as a bar stool even though several other tables were still empty. We sat for ten minutes and the seats were extremely uncomfortable so we asked the waiter is we could move to one of the other tables. The waiter then went over to one of the other staff members to ask. A dark haired lady who I presume was the manager. She looked extremely annoyed and started shaking her head at what was a fair request. We were then moved and had to call someone back 15 minutes later to take our order.
45 minutes later our food had still not arrived. Someone finally came over and asked if we were having the wild mushroom. This was not our order so we confirmed our order with them AGAIN and they said the kitchen were preparing our food and we should have it soon. A further ten minutes later the waitress came out with the wrong food. We told her and said we had been waiting a long time. She said if were willing to take the food she had brought out we wouldn’t have to wait any longer. We insisted we wanted the food we had waited so long for. She was very apologetic and offered two free coffees as ours were now cold.
The food finally arrived. It was cold.
On leaving, the manager was stood by the til whilst we were paying the bill. She was fully aware of our experience but didn’t once even make eye contact, better yet offer an apology. The approved the free coffees. Ignored us. And that was that.
Very disappointed. Word of advice to the manager- if you can’t do customer service, you’re probably in the wrong industry. We didn’t once even speak to you but you made us feel like an inconvenience and very uncomfortable from the moment we walked in with your dismissive attitude. The rest of the staff were very apologetic and lovely. Will not...
Read moreMy friend and I were looking for a quick breakfast prior to heading to work last weekend. We did not have a booking, but we decided to try Wolfox after noticing a number of fellow Arabs heading inside. I must note, the café’s entrance can be a little confusing. We, as well as many other visitors, were unsure which door to access from. The correct entrance is through the doors on the left - not the stairs leading downstairs in the front-centre of the building, nor the double doors on the right. Upon entering, we were greeted and seated by the owner himself, who remained an absolute gentleman throughout our visit - very friendly, polite, and attentive.
The menu was extensive, with a lot of healthy options which I appreciated. However, as were short for time, we asked the waitress if she could recommend us anything. We were suggested the Farm Breakfast (a halal English breakfast), which she said was a customer favourite. We thus ordered these, yet with eggs to our individual preferences, as well as again following the waitress’ suggestion to try the Dirty Chai as our accompanying hot drinks. Our food arrived quickly, even as the café began to get busier, and we were pleasantly surprised by the generous portion sizes. The Farm Breakfast was excellent - well-prepared and faultless - and the drinks were just as good.
We did not have time to sit for long, and so left quickly after eating. That said, I must comment on how much we loved our visit to Wolfox. We left very happy with our visit. The welcoming atmosphere, attentive service, and good food especially stood out. It was especially commendable to see the owner actively involved in the café’s running, seating and serving alongside his team. I highly recommend Wolfox to others, and I look forward to visiting again. Hopefully next time I will be able to stay for longer and order something different from their extensive...

Wolfox Café is truly a gem in the heart of Leeds City Centre. With plenty of parking available in the surrounding streets, it’s conveniently accessible, making it an ideal spot for locals and visitors alike.
The café is spacious and aesthetically pleasing, offering a modern yet cozy ambiance. The menu is impressively extensive, catering to a wide range of tastes and preferences. The standout items for us were the blue matcha, which was unique and delicious, and the classic English breakfast and eggs Benedict, both of which were beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. Special mention to the Hollandaise sauce—it was simply divine! The blueberry smoothie was another highlight, perfectly refreshing and well-balanced.
The staff at Wolfox are exceptional—extremely polite, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. Erol and Dammy deserve special recognition for their outstanding service, making our visit even more memorable. The owner, Mr. Arshad, was equally warm and welcoming. He went above and beyond by giving us a tour of their sister restaurant, Shabab, which was stunningly decorated and left us excited to return and explore it further.
Overall, Wolfox Café is a must-visit for anyone in Leeds. From the incredible food and drinks to the wonderful staff and atmosphere, everything about this place is top-notch. We’ll definitely be back and can’t recommend it...
