One star for the friendly staff at the front desk. I travel around the world for work and holidays many times every year and stay in Hilton group hotels most of the time. As a Hilton gold member, I’ve never had such bad experiences with the housekeeping team and their attitude to a loyal customer. The friendly receptionist at HH desk helped me check in for my 5-night stay. The awful experience started after entering my room. I immediately spotted the disgusting marks on the duvet cover (image no.1). There are light marks on the bed linen and thread balls on the pillow cases so I popped down the reception and requested to have all of them replaced. The lady from the housekeeping team was unhappy and asked me to point where the problems are. She wasn’t happy. She removed all the covers and put my duvet, pillows on the dirty carpet! She eventually replaced all the covers and I said thank you. She didn’t respond. After she left, I lifted the duvet and spot the marks on the bed linen (image 2). I popped down to the reception again and requested a change of my bed linen but also requested not sending the lady as she wasn’t happy and can’t do her job well. A cheerful chap turned up and replaced the bed linen without any problem. Image 3 is the second linen but I am exhausted to ask for another replacement. It is more a wear and tear and I can bear with it. I feel I stay in a premier inn or travel lodge. This is not the standard any hotel under Hilton group. You really should replace your old bed linen, duvet cover and pillow cases. Signs of thread balls and holes in your bed linen don’t get you any good compared with your competitors like Marriott and IHG. One more thing like other reviewers mentioned, the hot and colder water knob was installed the other way around. I nearly...
Read moreA very good hotel located in Granary Wharf which is a few minutes walk from the shops and nightlife of the city centre.
The hotel is set in a very picturesque location next to the canal and rail line with plenty of restaurants and bars in the area immediately surrounding the hotel. There is a very nice vibe to this area which certainly makes it a pleasant place to stay or have an evening or, even day out.
If you arrive by train, then the station is a few minutes walk away. If arriving by car there is ample parking under the railway arches which is spacious and user friendly. The car park is a 30 second walk from the hotel.
We have stayed at this hotel before and you really cannot go wrong. Excellent value, modern, clean, well maintained along with first class staff in all areas of the hotel.
Rooms are very good and spacious and offer everything you need for a comfortable stay away from home be it business or leisure. There is an excellent roof top bar at the hotel with amazing views over the city.
Breakfast was also taken at the hotel. The dining room was light, airy and very clean. Big picture windows have great views over the canal. An excellent choice of food was available for breakfast be it the continental or, full English option.
If you are planning a stay in Leeds this is a great hotel in a great location. You can get cheaper hotels but also much more expensive hotels as well. In my opinion after personally experiencing the whole price range of hotels available in the city then for me, this place gives you everything you need and more and is excellent value for money.

Read moreSome staff have been super great, very attentive when it comes to table service. Foods okay, when the chef remembers the ingredients. First nourish bowl was amazing, 2nd nearly missed out on the balsamic vinegar and the 3rd tonight it was totally missing just covered in the oil from the top of their mixture. I had to ask for it half way through as I was fed up by the incomplete dish tasting mainly of oil. Reception are brutally blunt (except Nancy who tried her best to be accommodating (she deserves a gold star) but management where blunt an offered nothing to assist, I had to quiz her on how I can ensure I wasnt sleeping on the street as my wallet and cards were lost in transit 2 "complimentary" cookies isnt really much of an offering) reception is lax at passing on messages to house keeping (asked for the shower gel to be topped up this morning but had to ring and politely request it now, 10pm at night) They say don't judge a book by its cover, but when your greeted with hostility and stubborness it's hard not have a sour taste. First impressions count, and the impressions here continue to disappoint day, after day, after day... Still here for 3 nights, fingers crossed there's not much else that could go wrong or affect me personally... Poor form for a Hilton Hotel, maybe I'm the problem with my expectations too high... Just an update, read the letter and look at my pic... Offered money off, written in brackets that it's "Noted on my booking" just order room service and check...
