Stylish sandwich cafe. Highly recommended sandwich and rice bowl. Sit in is more expensive than takeaway, but I will try sit in next time because I cannot resit how delicious the fries are on the half way and eat some on the street.🤤 The decorations of the cafe is very cosy. There are some drawings of Yayoi Kusama 草間彌生, a world famous Japanese artist. If you know her, why not dress in brightly coloured polka dots and have a fashion pop art meal?
I have ordered a sandwich of chicken Katsu sando k-town. As I interpret, the katsu here is meaning the Japanese katsu - fried with bread crumbs, NOT British katsu - curry. Sando means sandwich, so Katsu sando means Fried thing sandwich. Japanese Katsu is a special technique and is different from the fried thing in KFC. If you haven't tried it yet, then it is worth a try. K-town is a spicy sauce of Korean style. It is good if you like spicy.
Besides, I have ordered a tonkatsu rice bowl with pork and classic sauce. The meaning of Tonkatsu is ton-katsu, fried pork with bread crumbs. Traditionally, fried pork rice bowl is a very popular dishes in Japan and it is normally only in pork. But here you can choose chicken or celeriac as well for different diet requirements. In the bowl there are gingers marinated with vinegar, onions and cabbages. You know, there is a service of the cabbage refill unlimited in Japanese tonkatsu restaurant. Having this taste, I miss the cabbage very much because it raise my memory as a poor student waiting for this expensive meal but very full cabbage every month.
The third I have ordered is furikake fries. Furikake means the seasoning of rice, normally consists of sea weed, sesame and dried fish slice. It is interesting to see this creation of new favour.
The place is a bit hidden in a small car park but it is not difficult to find. Highly Recommended. Saturday and Sunday are closed, please take a look on the updated time. What will be the difference in...

The flavors were well-balanced and satisfying, making it a memorable treat! 😋
The vibe here was cozy and welcoming, though I’d say the portion size could’ve been just a little bigger for the price. What an amazing spot for craving quality sandwiches with a Japanese twist 🥪💕. Definitely worth a visit! 🙌

Read moreWent in on one of the rare days I was in the office and grabbed the Pork Katsu Sando and the Furikake fries. The pork was delicious and the bread was nice and thick. The pork had a nice crispy outer layer and nice and juicy inside. The sando came with some cabbage and mayo as condiments in the sandwich. The furikake fries were amazing, thin cut fried sprinkled with the furikake seasoning (black sesame and some nori and a hint of black pepper if my tongue is to be trusted) after being tossed in a slightly sweet slightly savoury sauce. I'd happily...
