Starbucks Coffee — Restaurant in Leeds

I come here a couple of times a month (to work somewhere other than my house) and I’m really glad it opened within walking distance for this reason. I started coming here just after lockdown and it’s always been a good place to come as it’s airy and clean.

I’ve never had any problems with any aspect. It’s always tidy and clean, and I feel safe. Everyone is polite and friendly. Sometimes it’s a bit slow but that’s always because there’s people at the drive thru, and they’re always apologetic about it.

⭐☆☆☆☆ Disinterested Staff – Cold Service, No Warmth

Very disappointed with my recent visit to Starbucks.

From the moment I walked in, it was clear the staff had no interest in engaging or offering even basic courtesy. No greeting, no smile, and barely any eye contact. It felt like I was an inconvenience rather than a paying customer.

There was zero effort to make the experience pleasant—no warmth, no attentiveness, just cold, robotic service. When I asked a simple question about the menu, I was met with a shrug and barely a response.

I visited with my son and my dog. My son had been told previously by staff that it was dog friendly. He’d also seen dogs inside. On entering I asked if it was dog friendly. I was informed by the manager that it wasn’t. He couldn’t account for why my son had been given the information or why dogs had been seen inside. He apologised many times but said this venue is a franchise owned by EG and their policy is to be un dog friendly. I feel they are missing out on a lot of potential customers.
