Caffè Nero — Restaurant in Lewes

Massive all stars to CN in Lewes, I was there on Saturday last week after my visit to the castle. I just felt like having tea and scones but all the tea shops were closing at that time. Do I tried CN and to my delight, I was able to enjoy what I wanted in a cosy, easy going environment where a lovely fog was also among the guests (my joy as a pet lover). The girls behind the counter were just one big genuine smile, happy to help in whatever way, including with my request to be able to recharge my mobile phone a little. I really enjoyed those 40 minutes or so sipping my tea and the warmed scone before heading to my next destination and will definitely go back there whenever I am in Lewes.

A good location for watching life go by on Lewes high street. I like the pavement seating outside. The 'corporate' feel is evident though. The coffee and snacks are fairly good quality and not expensive but there's nothing exceptional. The staff are friendly but with a hint of trained responses. It can get a bit tatty when staff can't keep up with table clearing. There is free Wi-fi for customers so it is good for checking email etc with the coffee. This place is my favourite for hot chocolates as i don't drink tea or coffee. Their hot chocolate is very tasty and is made the way i like it with plenty of froth.

The loyalty card is a great, you have to earn 9 points but when you get your 10th its for free.

Like not other coffee shop, they have paired up with O2 and offer free hot drinks every tuesday/wednesday and better still this counts toward your 10th free drink.
