Caccia and Tails — Restaurant in Lewes

Really good, tasty and authentic Italian food, with a lot of choice! I'm going through them one by one and so far, so good. There is also a drinks cabinet full of interesting and awesome drinks! Even some alcohol for those (of us) who need it.

The owners are really nice and friendly. They both work on the food and clearly have an eye for quality with the food they serve and the cool decor.

There is a row of seats but clearly this place is made takeout. Which I'm thankful for because Lewes is lacking in this department.

Fun fact: they serve their food in the lansdown! I'm looking forward to soaking up some booze with a ragu next...

A very smart, modern establishment with good counter service and very nice food, I had smoked salmon with dill on a focaccia which was delicious along with a date and chocolate cake, also delicious. The place was dog friendly inside and quiet which was good for my old girl, outside seating also available. A lot of thought had been put into the lighting and mood of the restaurant though I didn't quite understand the art, there is obviously a meaning but it was lost on me, not the restaurants fault, definitely mine. A bit pricey but often cost comes from quality and quality was evident in all aspects of this...

We went to the cassia and tails at the chapel in Chichester. Initially service was friendly but then we ended up waiting 25 minutes for a 1 drink. There were 2 staff members working out front and frankly they could not cope with the Saturday morning rush which wasn't even that much of a rush. They left drinks on the side for minutes without running them. Very shocked at the poor service because this has never happened before at the chapel or...
