Domino's Pizza - Lewes — Restaurant in Lewes

It takes a lot for me to feel the need to write reviews, especially bad ones, but this was the third time we were unbelievably let down by this branch.

After over an hour on a Friday evening we called into the branch. The staff of which there were only TWO in the store were completely overwhelmed. They told us that our pizza was on the way and that it would not be long before they turned up and apologised.

30 minutes or so later no food. At this point it's 9:30 pm at night and we are exhausted and fed up. We call again to find that the driver just left with our food.

They LIED to us over the phone. I couldn't believe it.

We were understandably furious ... And to my embarrassment I did raise my voice and get very angry. I got a stroppy young woman claiming to be the manager... She admitted she wasn't. I asked for a full refund which she denied and told the driver to call off the delivery WITHOUT INFORMING US. After nearly two hours we called back to find out the driver had been called off... To my girlfriends rage at this stage... Terrified me too!

They tried to call back weeks later with an apology but it is way past that now. The food is frequently late, always cold, and always lacking in generosity.

I called Domino's head office and they simply referred me back to the branch... Franchise. I have no idea how they still hold it. AVOID.

You are much better off with proper and real pizza from The Hearth above Lewes...

I have ordered on three separate occasions and have been let down each time with dull tasting pizza. Each time I asked for and paid for extra mozzarella but yet could barely see or taste any cheese on the pizza, let alone extra. My last order however was the last straw. Lack of cheese, it had slices of sausage and ham that looked and tasted very undercooked, and the tomato base tasted bitter. Worse of all when we open the box all the ingredients had slid to one side of the pizza - obviously at some point the box had been tilted on its side. The result - a medium sized pizza with a load of gross looking slop on one side and tomato-wet pizza base on the other which was impossible to share. The garlic bread side was a circular puff of pizza dough with - again - minimal cheese. All a complete waste of £25 - which in itself is ridiculous for a medium pizza and a small side of garlic pizza but it was late, we'd just got in from work and were hungry.

The 1 star rating was for the speed of the delivery but that said I would take away half a star for the lack of care in tilting the pizza on its journey over.

Come on guys - you're relying on customers returning and as I said, on three separate occasions I've been let down...mainly with pizzas that demonstate a complete lack of care and attention in...

Very poor, i placed order online and 45 mins into i saw due to tracker still wasnt in oven, decided to call up and eventually was informed be another 1 hour, i live in lewes so quite close and was informed due to staff and traffic in lewes, funny thing is this was given as excuse even before food had been put in oven, 1 hour after ordered my food was put into oven, then on quality control for 20 mins and out for delivery at 9.15pm i received food at 9.27 so only 12 mins to get from ringmer to lewes so wasnt anything to do with traffic, i had no apology, no discount, no freebie due to 2 hour wait for food. very very poor. Best part was the delivery which was expected time but just feel was excuses from this shop and didnt care on me waiting 1 hour 50 mins for a pizza and 2 sides.
