Baan Sai — Restaurant in Lewes

We have previously had takeaways from here and had no problems. However we ordered Satay chicken, wings with chilli and lemongrass, chicken Pad Thai and Red Duck Curry. The satay came with a tiny amount of satay sauce, not even enough for the 4 skewers. The wings didn't really have any taste. The mains were, quite honestly, awful. The curry had no spice and almost no flavour. It was way too watery and diluted and riddled with bits of fat. The Pad Thai had a strange taste and was one of the worst pad thais we have eaten. Excellent food and gluten-free no problem. The chef explained what I could have as a gluten-free option and said he could substitute some of the mixes he uses. The food was so well presented and perfect for my sisters birthday. All in all, it was an excellent evening. The restaurant was full, so we were lucky to have booked early.
