Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Liverpool

So I’ve given this Costa positive reviews previously following good service.

It’s a shame about what happened this evening.

There was a homeless chap sat outside the store and there is currently an outdoor temp of about -1 degC. The front door of the shop was opened so I wandered in, but the very polite lady behind the counter explained that they were closed. I very politely explained that I just wanted to buy a cup of tea for the homeless chap outside. The lady said she was sorry but couldn’t do anything.

I understand that there will be cleaning processes and cashing up. All I was looking for was a a takeout cup of boiled water, a teabag and maybe the occasional splash of milk.

I’m indeed not blaming Costa for the awful situation this chap has found himself in, but surely one cup of tea wouldn’t have been missed from costa’s...

This Costa different to the one I would normally visit however the staff were pleasant explained they had a large order to complete so the wait could be a little longer. The staff also asked people to wait outside as there were too many inside people did this. In fact if I have a complaint there were 3 girls approx 14 years old NO masks worn not sure whether they were asked why as I was leaving with my coffee they were all chatting were...

Get some staff, Costa. Two little girls serving this morning, and a queue almost out of the door. After 10 mins, the lady in front of me left. The queue barely moved. After 15 mins, and getting no closer to being served, I left too. All that time in the line allowed me to calculate that nipping round to Tesco and buying a cafetière, milk and coffee was so much more economical (and quicker). I feel really sorry for the staff on shift...
