Mike's Kitchen — Restaurant in Liverpool

This was my second visit, but sadly not had anything to eat here yet. This is due to time restraints on my behalf. I have seen the food being taken to other tables and I must admit, it looks pretty damn good. The next time I visit, I will have something to eat, even if its only a bacon buttie. The place is very clean, bright and airy. One of my pet hates are dirty tables when you sit down, but all the tables were clear and clean. The prices seem very reasonable for the food and drinks. I ordered a cup of tea and it was delivered to the table by one of the staff. I was given a large mug, a teapot which held 2 full mugs of tea and of course, enough milk for the 2 teas. The cost was £1, yes I've typed that correctly £1. The staff were friendly, and I suppose still are, ha! Overall I think they deserve 5 stars for each of my visits, I hope to be able to still give 5 stars when I've had something to eat, which will be within a week. Thanks for the great service...

I ate breakfast at Mike's Kitchen on September 26, while in Liverpool for a weekend and for a trip to Anfield. Two friends and I stayed in an airbnb near Anfield and found Mike's place through google maps.

It's a real, genuine Liverpool cafe -- one that before google maps would likely only be known by locals. Now visitors like me get to experience it.

Called in today and ordered a large breakfast which includes a pot of tea and after eating the breakfast it was obvious they had forgot my pot of tea??? When I asked for the tea I was given a small take away cup of tea??? Yet other people with breakfasts had pots of tea and when I asked for a pot of tea I didn't get one??? So I gave it back and left!!! Very poor customer service and the last money I will...
