Millon Tandoori — Restaurant in Liverpool

As a Family we have been using the Millon Tadoori restaurant for many a year as a Takeaway and as a place to have a meal out and have been very impressed with the food on offer at this establishment up until our most recent takeaway meal. We've always been more than happy with the portion sizes given when placing orders for a takaway from Millon but i have to say there has been a noticeable reduction in the portion sizes from my last visit. Its was noticeable in the amount of Chicken pieces in a Chicken Tikka Masalla dish which was considerably down in chicken content from previous orders of this meal but it didn't stop there. The Naan bread has also reduced in size from previous visits to this normally excellent restaurant. I am hoping that this occurrence was a one off and at the moment it won't deter us from purchasing again from Millon but if this is the way of the future it will be a sad day as up to my most recent purchase you have been fantastic. Absolutely amazing food and the best service I've ever had in Liverpool. All the food was fresh and portions were generous to say the least. The bar is modest but stocks a few very nice whiskeys and the selection covers all the bases for beers, spirits, wines (White, red and rosé) and soft drinks. Staff are very friendly, attentive and polite (even the new member who was being shown the ropes). We were even asked if we wanted to wait a few minutes before our mains, which was well needed, and the addition of a hot towelette and an after dinner mint (the brand you might eat after 8pm) made this an extremely enjoyable meal for me and my partner.

Sorry for leaving a bad review but I really wouldn’t go back to this Indian restaurant. I love Indian food but I thought this place just didn’t have any flavour or spice at all. Chutney tray no flavour or spice, worse I’ve tried. I understand Indian restaurants adapt dishes for tastes of the locals, but this, for me personally, was not representative of Indian flavours at all. I heard the waiter saying to a table next to us that you couldn’t find this food in India, true! Though they liked their food.
