New Red Star — Restaurant in Liverpool

I ordered and paid for my husband anf myself for a delivery at 6.30 on 01/11/25 for which my account was debited. I ordered on line as we are both suffering with covid and we're unable to pick up ourselves. 10 minutes after ordering we received a phone call saying that they would not be able to deliver because liverpool were playing at home and the roads get closed where we live. I explained that they won't be closing the roads until 7.30 and that we both had covid and if they cant deliver can they refund so we could order somewhere else. The very rude lady I spoke to said you can cancel but don't know when you will be refunded if at all and if you want it then you will.have to collect. Once again I said we had covid but we will have to come and collect. Considering she was arguing about roads being closed we got there in under 10 minutes. When we got there after being told the food would be ready when I politely asked how long would i be waiting she barked.at me I dont know there are 8 orders in front of you. I said it's just I don't feel very well as I have covid and she started shouting all over the place that she has copd and ordered me to stand outside. I was totally humiliated and just wanted to walk off. After about a further 10 minutes the lovely girl I always see there shouted me to get my food. When I went in to collect it I had this other woman glaring at me. I always use this shop as the food is great and the staff are lovely but this arrogant and very rude woman working there will make me think twice about me or any of my family using this shop again. Ordered from here tonight, just pure vile sorry to say! Salt & pepper chicken was flat as a pancake and pure white batter, all stuck together🤮. The ribs were coated. Well it looked like batter but more like cement! No meat, all batter and even if there was mean there no way you could get to it without breaking your teeth. They were meant to be,’salt & pepper ribs and alls that was in them was burnt little bits of spring onion. You really need to concentrate on making your food better otherwise you will close. That’s why people come back, if the food is nice. I wouldn’t go back there even if it was free,...

Ordered Yung Chow fried rice that was THE WORST I've ever tasted in my life, not quite sure whether they'd used out of date spam or ready made micro rice or what, but to say it was vile is an understatement. Nobody ate it, went straight in the bin. I had to flavour the chips myself to get rid of the oil taste even though I had asked for salt and vinegar. The only positive thing was the delivery, the young gentleman that delivered it was lovely, pleasant and polite and it was delivered quicker...
