The Saddle Inn — Restaurant in Liverpool

A nice little public house in kirkdale Liverpool off Westminster road and diagonally opposite to Saint John's church. The compact pub has a bar and and another seating area just off it. It was very clean and tidy with a nice decor including lots of pictures and in the corridor a poster like wallpaper with different bands advertised from the Beatles and sex pistols. A good choice of beers and spirits...

Well I was walking past and needed the loo...to be greeted by a remarkable authentic interior wonderful origjnal wood work, tiled walls superb fireplace..and much more. The best was the welcome by fellow drinkers and an amazing bar lady...a real Liverpool welcome..I was smitten by local knowledge of the building and nearby tunnels between the docks and disappeared local court.

Went upto Liverpool for Evertons final game at Goodison, The Saddle Inn was where we eventually ended up to watch tje game. There was a fiendly, welcoming atmosphere. The drinks were reasonably priced. Only gripe was the hand dryer over the sink, if not careful you exit the bathroom looking like you...
