Wingstop…
You’d think being named after chicken wings would mean wings are your specialty! Sadly, not on this occasion. I’d compare them to the kind you’d get at your local pub — average at best. However, the chicken tenders and cheesy chips were really nice!
Price point is about average — around £35 for me, my partner, and our little one — so no complaints there. But as a big chicken wing fan, I had very high hopes for this place, and it did disappoint.
Service-wise, the staff were really friendly, but the music was so loud it was difficult to hear when ordering. I found myself saying “I’m sorry, what?” a few times, which made me feel a bit rude to the team — though it definitely wasn’t their fault.
On the menu, you only see a choice of three main dips. However, unless you ask, you wouldn’t know that regular sauces are available too. For our little one, ketchup was all he wanted, and thankfully once we asked, they brought some over. It’d just be good if that was made clear upfront.
The place itself was very clean, especially considering how busy it was — credit where it’s due. One major downside though is the toilets. As a guy, it’s not a big issue for me, but I wouldn’t be keen on my partner using mixed toilets — and there are only two of them. For such a big venue, it wouldn’t take much to install proper separate facilities.
Overall, it was okay. We all agreed it wasn’t somewhere we’d rush back to, but it’s worth trying once for the experience. Unless the food quality improves, though, I’m not sure many people...

The person at the counter was really friendly and I could tell in general the staff were really friendly so the service I’ll definitely give it Top marks
However, regarding the food I ordered eight wings for atomic and four mango habanero. The guy behind the counter did warn me that they were quite spicy but I thought I’d give it a go anyway. There’s a massive team in the kitchen but it does seem like a busy times they struggle to keep up with the orders and I was waiting for a good 20 minutes after I’ve ordered my food.
They serve the wings in a box with some gloves and some napkins so the wings are a little messy to eat but the wings themselves are just bang average. I’ve had much better wings before I even enjoyed the wings out of the Iceland frozen section more than these, they tasted quite good, but for me there was barely no spice that’s probably because I built up a tolerance and I can handle quite spicy things but they just tasted really boring to me and just average
I’ve tried them, but I won’t go back and I’m not sure how long it will last for once word gets round that the food is just average if that is everyone else’s experience that is
And just To add the music was...
Read moreWow, I’m so shocked. This is my first time trying wing stop. I’ve seen it in Liverpool one, however always had such a long queue so did not bother.
Come to edge lane as I live a few minutes away. Wasn’t no que so that’s great! But WOW, the wait for the food was about 15 minutes. Which is not really fast food, but I can understand why.
The music??? It was SO loud I couldn’t hear the cashier, or the staff that brought my food. I couldn’t even hear my boyfriend speak or even the music because it was so loud all I heard was bass. I did ask the staff why is it so loud, and she agreed she said she knows. And thank you for the feedback.
Wings are very oily, and regarding boneless they was nice.
Big disappointment but I guess it is what it is.
Spent £35, which is normal. But charging £ 1.50 for a tiny tub of sauce was a bit wild.
Won’t...
