I went here a few months back but completely forgot to review the restaurant. Only just came across the photos I took of the food I had. Better late than never! As a starter I went for the Prawn Gỏi Cuốn (Summer Rolls). They were very fresh and full of flavour, and I was keen to try them as I had never had a cold summer roll before! You could taste the lovely bits of prawn, herbs, and vegetables all individually, and then the satay dipping sauce brought it all together very well! For my main, I had the Bún Huế (Beef Huế). The broth was full of flavour, plenty of noodles...the beef shin was melt in the mouth, the pork sausage had a nice bit of bite to it and the fried tofu pieces gave another texture to the dish...I enjoyed every bite and slurp of this dish! Anyways, just when I thought I'd had enough, my friend asked if I wanted to share a BBQ Pork Banh Mi...I had never had one of these tasty hot sandwiches before and it went down a treat! The pork was very tasty and well marinaded, and along with all the fresh veggies and salad gave it a light, fresh taste...the toasted warm baguette was nice and crunchy too, a lovely snack! So, if you enjoy your Vietnamese cuisine and you're in Kingston, then definitely give this place a go! Friendly staff and good service. Easy 5 stars! :)

Not the most authentic place I've been for Vietnamese but the food is ok. I agree with another review on here. The starters were very good but the mains were all lacking flavour. I ordered the pork bunh and firstly I don't why they put tomatoes on it as this is not tradition and authentic and made it more like a English salad. A lot of the main dishes also do not have coriander which is a main ingredient in Vietnamese cuisine which adds so much flavour to a dish. The spring roll that came with the dish I have to say was the worst. It tastes like curry and probably the worst spring roll I've ever had. If you've visited Kingston before, you will know there is a Vietnamese food stall in the market (Phoreal) which tastes 10 times better and for a fraction of the price! We only ended up at 36 streets as the stall was closed today. Also just to add for those who are being super careful about Covid. They do not wear gloves here, and handle food bare hands. I personally wouldn't come back here, at least not for any mains. If you just fancy a snack and drink then it's not bad.

A lovely Vietnamese restaurant in Kingston. Decor is airy and tastefully colourful with a summery Asian vibe. Very good Vietnamese food . The salt and pepper squid was fresh and bright, and the chillies added flavour without being spicy hot. The nem (fried spring rolls) were exactly how they tasted when I had them in Hanoi. The beef pho was flavoursome and tasted very traditional. It only came with Thai basil, chillies, lime, and bean sprouts as garnishes, but traditionally there would also be mint, coriander and / or culantro leaves. They do a refreshing and delicious cold ginger, lemon, and mint drink. Had to dock a star for service, as the pho arrived before the starters were finished, and the waiter seemed flustered that our tiny table couldn't accommodate the bowls. Then when presented the bill the waitress stood over us watching like a hawk as we paid in cash. They must have had bad experiences in the past but it honestly made me feel quite uncomfortable. The bill was pretty standard - just over £50 for 2 starters, 2 mains, 2 soft drinks, and service charge.

ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING - PLEASE AVOID!!! I wish I could provide zero stars. Essentially, I phoned the restaurant, a week in advance, to make a booking for the following Saturday. After three attempts to place a booking over phone, as it allegedly kept getting cut-off during the call, it was finally confirmed. We arrived 5 minutes before our booking, at which point we were told to wait until a table became free (in which we were completely happy to comply). After waiting for 20 minutes, so 15 minutes after our initial booking time had passed, I pilotely approached the manager for an update. She said that they were just cleaning our table and that we should be seated in 2 minutes. After observing the waiter cleaning the only table which was available, we identified that it was a table for 2, despite the fact that I booked for 3 people (plus a baby in a pram!). When I approached the manager again to make her aware that our booking was for 3 people (plus a baby in a buggy), she openly advised me that they had forgotten to put a reservation sign on our table and that we would either need to wait another 35-40 minutes, or come back another day with a 50% offer. After what was the worst display of organisation I have ever seen, we simply decided to decline the offer and go elsewhere. It is a real shame, especially as we are local to the area and were hoping to return regularly with friends. After such an atrocious experience, we will NEVER be returning and advising everyone we know to avoid it like...

I chose to book a table for my birthday dinner because we saw it often, the food smelled amazing and reviews were broadly very good. Unfortunately, we ended up being part of what I hope is a minority group of people who experience appalling service. Despite having a booking (which I even called to move by 15 mins due to delays getting transport), we were made to wait in the cold for over 1/2 an hour until a table became free. It seemed to us that our table hadn't been reserved and none of the previous customer's expectations were managed to ensure we got a space. Clearly neither were our expectations managed as we kept being told it would be free in 5 mins and we could tell from the relaxed groups in the restaurant, that was unlikely to happen.

The food was good and for that I'll offer more than 1 star but customer service goes a long way towards creating a dining experience and unfortunately, this one really ruined what should be a memorable day of the year.

I'm afraid we will not be returning but hopefully the management will consider ways to improve as the food is good and some (not all) the staff deserve to see the...
