4 Locos Argentine Steakhouse — Restaurant in London

Went here to celebrate a friend’s leaving-do. Between 6 we shared 2 tomahawk steaks and although it came rare rather than medium rare, we did think the food was okay overall. Service was quite quick. I enjoyed their mac and cheese but would avoid the hot chicken wings - it was dry and lacked flavour.

What would make me not come back and not recommend this place is the brash attitude given to us by the manager. No one enjoys getting gaslit lol - we raised that we didn’t get the creamy spinach we had ordered but the manager lied (firstly) to say it was given to us and had been placed next to the steak (it wasn’t) and repeatedly lied about how the till was closed and the receipt cannot be amended - it was 8pm and their restaurant closes at 11pm so how can the till be now closed.

It really wasn’t about getting a refund at this point and just wanted an apology from the manager which we never received but got lies and gaslit instead.

Please train your managers properly and don’t lie to your customers!!!!...

Easter Sunday - left disappointed. Came with the family and had the Easter menu. The food was very good especially the steaks..... however could not help but think the owner is trying to cut in areas unnecessarily.

1. The main course was labelled Steak and Argentine Roast Potatoes. On the plate was a good sized steak and 5/6 small fried potato chips the size of crisps. These were not enough for even children!

2. We ordered 7 set menus for the family which came with a glass of prosecco. We only had 5 glasses of prosecco as two of the family were teenagers who asked for tap water. During the meal I asked for another glass of prosecco for my wife.

At the end of the meal we were charged the extra glass of prosecco even though we received one less glass than what we were paid for. The explanation was that we had two bottles of water put on our table - even though we did not ask for them.

Overall food was good, but for the GBP 250 we spent on the meal we felt very disappointed with the points...

I am unable to offer adjectives superlative enough to describe my family’s experience here last night! To cover the basics, cleanliness was apparent, the staff, courteous and friendly, the service and attention, excellent. However, if you like ribs, you simply HAVE TO read on. I’ve enjoyed the steaks here before but decided to sample the ribs as one of my favourite courses. They were just EXQUISITE! I’ve travelled the States on many occasions and New York is renowned for ribs but none compare. These were genuinely the BEST I’ve ever enjoyed. The helping was generous, representing fantastic value for money. The quality and flavour of the meat were EXCEPTIONAL. They were cooked to PERFECTION and the slightly spicy sauce complemented the dish excellently. Washed down with a couple of glasses of Malbec, this just made my birthday treat really memorable. If you like ribs, you MUST make this your next port of call. I’m a fussy eater but I can’t wait to return. Well done to all...
