I recently visited the Foxley Hatch pub located in Purley and was extremely disappointed with my experience. The bar staff, particularly Holly, had a terrible attitude and was incredibly rude and disrespectful towards myself and other customers. Holly has no people skills whatsoever and it is clear that she is not suited to work in the service industry.
To make matters worse, a group of customers walked in around 11:30pm and were refused to be served for no apparent reason. It is ridiculous that the pub, which should be open until 12am, would refuse service to customers so close to closing time. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable, and it is clear that the staff at the Foxley Hatch pub do not care about their customers.
Overall, I have to say that this is by far the worst Wetherspoons I have ever been to. The bar staff, especially Holly, have a terrible attitude and make the experience of visiting the pub incredibly unpleasant. I would strongly recommend avoiding the Foxley Hatch pub in Purley...
Read moreThis place is only getting two stars because the gentleman on security was absolutely lovely and another gentleman serving us was funny. But the manager of this place needs to sort out the absolutely vile attitude of the red headed girl. Never had a member of staff anywhere be so rude in my life! Myself and my friend popped to the toilet (btw we had just shown my exemption card to the security guard upon entering) She literally shouted at me to “Get my mask on” in which my friend politely told her I was exempt for medical issues and security has just checked this in which she decided to have a full on argument with my friend who told her she didn’t have to be so rude about it. She then refused to serve my friend. By the other reviews it seems this isn’t the first time this girl has been vile...
Read moreMost of the staff were nice but one of the ladies working there was very rude and disrespectful towards myself and the group of people i was with. They messed up the table orders multiple times and then as we walked past the bar, the woman was overheard complaining about our table and the amount we had ordered (there was 9 of rotating around the table) although we had been very polite the whole time. Only one of our group members could be considered ‘rowdy’ as he had perhaps gone over his limits but we kept him quiet and he didnt bother anyone else. The woman still continued to be disrespectful towards our group though (and she appeared to be a manager). The rest of the staff were lovely though and provided us with a happy evening whenever SHE...
