Opening a pizzeria in Victoria Park Village directly beside a long established competitor is a bold decision, yet it is the neighbour that may have reason for concern. This newcomer impresses on many fronts. The interior is intimate yet stylish, with a well planned table layout, an inviting open bar, and a team whose approach is warm, efficient, and genuinely welcoming. The space has such charm that it could easily be imagined as a film set during closed hours. The cocktail list is thoughtfully assembled, with creative twists on classics that will suit a broad range of tastes. The pizza menu is concise and well considered, though the extra £2.50 charge for a gluten free base stung a little. I also found myself wishing for a few more timeless staples as a dependable option other than Margarita and Pepperoni. Those planning to share a 20 inch pizza should note that only one is offered, and the menu gives no indication that standard pizzas can be made larger, though I did not enquire. Booking ahead is wise, and for those nearby, takeaway is also available. I will certainly return, not least to finally try the desserts.

Had an amazing meal last night, anchovy on toast, meatballs, fried artichoke and garlic bread for starters. Meatball was probably what i was least excited about when ordering but it was insanely tender and the tomato sauce perfectly balanced (a theme throughout all of their sauces) never been so impressed by a meatball For the pizzas we got the guianca, hot honey and white based mortadella which ended up being the whole table’s favourite and again was what I was least excited about when ordering but its a really good sign when the things you wouldn’t normally think about eating end up being highlights. Front of house were funny, friendly and full of good suggestions. The beer is great, had some pretty spicy rye whiskey shots from a local distillery and even the soft serve adult sundae for desert was ace. Great addition to the neighbourhood will surely be back soon.

Tried Ace Pizza on Lauriston Road and was really impressed. I went for the Double Pep with Cobble Lane pepperoni – the pepperoni was perfectly crispy and packed with flavour. The sesame crust was a really nice touch too, adding an extra layer of texture and taste that made the whole thing feel a bit special. We also had the crack sauce and truffle aioli on the side – both worked really well with the pizza, rich but not overpowering. For dessert, I couldn’t resist the grown-up sundae with fior di latte soft serve, olive oil, sea salt, fennel pollen and honey. Sounds unusual, but it was strangely delicious – creamy, sweet, a little savoury, and really unique. Overall, a great spot with inventive touches on both the pizza and dessert. Definitely worth a visit if you’re nearby!

Have been a fan of ACE pizza for years now, but they've really taken it up a notch (or 10) here, the pizza is, as always, incredible, but the addition of the sides and other snacks is brilliant, I implore anyone visiting to save room for the cheesy garlic twist, the artichokes, meatballs and anchovy toast! Plus the crisp/ham bowl is inspired! Cocktails were perfectly made and a great selection of wine, natural and all!

The service was impeccable and having only been open a week, that is no mean feat and despite every table being full the food came out in perfect time. The staff were super friendly to us, dogs and the kids. We all couldn't have been made to feel more welcome and looked after, so HUGE shout out to the staff! A really fun, energetic vibe to the whole place and great decor. Such a good asset to Victoria Park. Well done guys! Will be back and next time wearing an...

There is already a plethora of excellent options for pizza in this area that makes you wonder if we really need another pizza place here. Given the level of the nearby competition, the pizza here was… ok, but not particularly special either. The dough was light and fluffy, but this also meant too much of the crust was burnt. The taste was good, but lacked a bit in depth. The space itself appears to have been professionally designed, but lacks a personal touch. For some reason the place is also always full of young families, strollers and screaming children included, which makes the whole place feel more like an IKEA children’s play area than a restaurant. During our visit there was also a photographer taking pictures of the restaurant. The pictures may or may not have included the guests, but no one was asked if they consented to being photographed, which is of...
