Went here for lunch with one of the girls from work. We were actually going to walk past it, as we didn't quite know what it was about and didn't see any signs on the window/door to say that they took cards. However, this really jolly chap that works there, called out "Good afternoon ladies" with such a smile, we laughed and decided to take a seat. They had a decent menu on offer, but they were also running a lunchtime special, so we went for that, which was an utter bargain! £10.95 for 2 courses. We both had hummus to start and then I had chicken shish and my friend had lamb kofte for main. Well, the starter was a real portion or hummus and warm pitta bread, with drizzles of olive oil, shakings of paprika and an olive. There was also a sharing ramekin of tomato, onion and corriander type salsa thing, which was delish. Well, after eating that, I certainly wasn't hungry again. The bread was so warm and hummus if such a good quality, we both polished off our plates, not really thinking that we had the mains to demolish yet! The mains arrived and it is exactly the size and standard that you would get in a restaurant that only serves this type of food. It was sooooo good. Chicken was cooked perfectly, and i liked the way that it wasn't cubed chicken like you normally get, but they had flattened it out and cooked it flat, so every inch had flavour and tasted great. The lamb was also cooked perfectly and my friend said it was very good indeed. Rice was spot on, and there was a decent side salad that went with it. The service was fantastic, we didn't have to wait long at all, and the lady was attentive without being in your face. Smiley and courteous. I really enjoyed my lunch here and am looking forward to being back in the area to come back here...

I opted for this restaurant on a warm summers evening as all their tables outside were available, in contrast to full houses with all their neighbours. Things went wrong from the start as I asked a waiter a question about the warm chicken salad, he took my question as a confirmed order, so when I tried to order the grilled Salmon there was some confusion. The guy's limited English was the problem. So in the end I stayed with the warm chicken salad which was basic when it arrived, however after a couple of minutes, I noticed a piece of a breadstick among the salad, then i found some more. As i studied it a waitress asked me if everything was ok, so I asked if this was a 'crouton' to which she said yes - it was a bit of broken up breadstick. What more can I say, when a restaurant charging £12.95 for a salad that is supposed to contain croutons, tries to pass off a broken bread-stick instead, this then means that the chef obviously thinks the customers are morons. In conclusion, the empty tables on a summer evening should have alerted me, the public always vote with their feet and that's what I shall do in future. Sorry Chambers but that's what happens when you're chef doesn't know the difference between a crouton and...

Went to eat at Il Parco today (25th March 2023) and the owner of chambers (part owner of Il Parco) came to my table once i had paid for my meal i had with my son and told us that we were banned from Chambers and Il Parco due to writting reviews about my experience at Chambers. Thought that was rude and not a valid reason for banning me. Anyway, will be sad not to go back to Il Parco and personally think the owner of Chambers has some serious issues. Lets just say I won't miss Chambers!!!!

Previous review: Ordered some food over the phone for collection. When going to collect the food a nice lady behind the bar was ready to take payment as our food was ready upon our arrival. Whilst standing at the bar whilst the lady entered the amount into the card machine, a blond waitress approached the till area saying move! Go sit down! The lady that was about to take the payment from us explained this to the blond girl, however the blonde girl was adimit that we sat down and "moved" out her way. VERY RUDE BLOND GIRL!!! NO RESPECT FOR PAYING CUSTOMERS!!!! another waitress approached me as I was leaving and apologised for the blond girls disrectful behaviour and attitude! Food was...

Visited Chambers for a Sunday roast for two, both the lamb and beef were succulent and plentiful, roast potatoes crispy and soft in the middle, Yorkshire puds light and tasty, veg cooked to perfection and gravey rich and smooth, went for a cheesecake for desert, beautifully presented, so moreish , served with sauce and cream just right, good selection of drinks available, Staff were friendly, new the menu and make you feel welcome, recommend and will be a regular. Update. Yes became a regular and definitely not disappointed with my new venue, perfectly positioned in Hackney/lauriston village, a stones throw from Victoria Park, how ideal. Loved the Scilian sea bass, cooked to perfection, lovely depth of flavours in the sauce. Lamb kleftiko melted in the mouth and the lamb kofte was one of the most succulent I've tried in a long time. All served with great well cooked sides. Don't miss out, quality food served by friendly, welcoming and helpful staff, Well worth a visit, inside and outside seating, good children's menu.

Late review: Had Christmas dinner with work friends and could not fault the service and staff. They were incredibly accommodating and sweet throughout our time, even when we started quite late. I ordered the meatballs which were delicious and the lamb shank as mains but felt a bit lacklustre so was a let down. Everyone else enjoyed their meal: some ordered pasta or grills. Restaurant is quaint and warm, a place to go with friends. Would recommend and be happy to come back again.

We had a wonderful lunch at Chambers yesterday. A rare family get together to spend quality time! Our host (the loveliest lady!) made it so relaxing and couldn't do enough for us. We felt so chilled and my little boy could walk/crawl around no problem... The food was delicious and cooked perfectly and the service was everything we could have asked for. They even cleaned up my little boys bib and spoons. ❤️ Thank you for making our afternoon one to remember!
