AVOID THIS AMORINO in Chiswick! Terrible melted ice cream we got on 1st of August, the guy was handing it melted, no flower shape and we could do nothing because we paid already. Prices of ice cream are so expensive for very poor quality. I used to go to Amorino on and off for the past decade and more. The prices went really up and the service went really down. Save your money and don’t go to Chiswick branch, I am not sure about other branches if they became as bad but this is our experience on 1st August 2024. I paid £17.80 for two ice cream cones. Customer service when you contact them, they never reply back. Save your money and walk further down, there is Duci in Devonshire which has amazing ice cream for reasonable prices and lovely customer service and there is Oddon’s in Chiswick High Road too. Zero stars to this Amorino branch in Chiswick and what a waste of money it was!!! 👎🏻
P.S. freezers temperature has nothing to do with the heat, we even went when it was cool and rainy in the evening. This is a health and safety concern which the council may be interested...
Read moreHate the fact that you can't buy anything at the counter. Company policy is that you must use the screens to place any orders, even if you realise that just want a bottle of water after you've bought your ice cream.
Screen-based ordering systems are never great for everyone - young kids can't order (a parent will need to help), anyone carrying shopping or a baby will have to free a hand, not all menu items are clear (no one to ask questions of if they are all serving customers - you have to wait until someone is free and then go back to a screen to start your order again).
I get that it may be Amorino's quirky way to be high-tech, future facing, cost-saving, but it's not customer friendly for all, and I found the staff apologising on behalf of the company because they can appreciate the hassle it is for some people.
Amorino may be targeting a younger customer with these new ordering screens, but I suspect it will be the older generation of customers who can afford/justify spending £8-10 on...
Read moreDisappointing experience.
In this modern word of technology, it has truely taken over.
Saturday afternoon, empty store, 3 servers completely ignored me and my mum, we continued to look at what was on offer. Not 1 server communcated or greeted us. Mum had asked if we had if we order on the screens behind. It was not apparent as a first time guest (especially when attention is focussed on counter and dispkay). Unfortunately my mum received a short yes, from a female server.
As a dyslexic i find ordering particularly challenging. Our company included a wheelbound elderly and dog, who remained outside.
Perhaps a reminder not all disabilities are obvious and some customer service wouldn't go a miss.
Nice product but...
