We had been to other Amorinos before and decided to take the underground to go get an ice cream last sunday. When we called to ask if they could have waited for us 1 minute or 2 the staff said yes. When we arrived at 9:58, the staff had already shut down and wouldnât let anyone in. They wouldnât even talk to us and despite attempting to ask for information the staff was extremely rude and not welcoming. We were not rude, not disorderly, and definitely not racist. After 5 minutes of knocking on the door (to simply ask for information) I knocked a little harder on the door, but once again the two girls inside would not even approach the door to talk. They did say something from inside but obviously, we couldnât hear them. They couldn't even come talk to customers who had just spent ÂŁ5 of tube, each, to get there? I feel this is extremely disrespectful and inconsiderate. As an Italian I can say, no one in Italy would not come talk to you, even if it's past their working time. But yeah, Amorino Islington staff are rude. Iâve seen, Amorino (owner), that you reply to all comments, I will make it my mission to write many more negative reviews on other socials (FB, TA, Zomato, TO, Yelp, etc.) until I see some kind of change in your...
Read moreMy daughter wanted to treat me to one of her favourite ice-cream spots in the city, however I was sadly disappointed by the behaviour of the staff when we visited. When I asked to taste a flavour, so little was put on the spoon that I could hardly taste it and then I was hurried along by the staff who said "now you can go there and place the order" pointing to the machines.
After placing the order, my daughter and I got back into the empty queue but the staff serviced other customers who had just walked into the store (and were not in the queue) and after he had tended to the other customers, he just stood there and ignored us until I had to ask "we have placed the order, are we going to get served?". He then walked over and serviced as if he was being forced to do something he didn't want to. Had we not already paid at this stage I would have walked out.
My daughter who lives in London also said that this was unremarkably rude behaviour she had not come across in London before.
I would suggest that the management train their staff better, so people are serviced fairly and equally so you don't lose...
Read moreI recently visited the Amorino ice cream shop, and it was a deeply disappointing experience. The place was shockingly dirty, with filthy floors and tables that looked like they hadn't been cleaned in ages. To make matters worse, there was no staff around to clean the tables, so customers, including myself had to clean our own table just to have a place to sit. The overall hygiene of the shop was appalling, and it made me question the cleanliness of the ice cream itself.
The most horrifying part of my visit was the state of the toilets. They were extremely unclean, unhygienic, and smelled terrible. It was clear that they hadn't been properly maintained, which is unacceptable for any food establishment. I was left feeling uneasy about the entire experience and would not recommend this place to anyone. If you're considering visiting, I'd strongly advise you to...
