Auntie May's Chinese Takeaway — Restaurant in London

I really wish that I could leave a better review but unfortunately I can’t. We are regular customers, ordering every week for at least the last year. The food is not bad although not always the same each week. We’ve had a couple of deliveries that haven’t been as good as expected but what has really prompted this review is the lack of customer service. As I said we are regular customers giving a substantial amount of money to this restaurant every year but the lack of service is annoying. Tonight we were charged £2.20 for a tiny amount of hoisin sauce, which is quite frankly an insult considering the amount of money we spend in this establishment. In the past, they have forgotten parts of our order, yet have been less than apologetic. First time trying this place. And im glad I did. The Egg fried rice was fresh, hot, light and fluffy as it should be, and not sticky in the slightest. The sweet and sour chicken hong kong style was also good, with a light sauce that did not over power the taste and the vegetables with the dish (onions, peppers and pineapple) had that fresh cooked texture and slight crunch. The salt and pepper chilli prawns were also very nice and did not suffer the usual saturation of oil as fried food sometimes can. And lastly the three standard size portions of the entire meal were enough to feed two hungry adults. One of the worst Chinese meals to date. I tried them because the reviews on Just Eat were very good. In future I will check Google reviews are much more on point. The ribs were tough and tasteless. The chicken wings were fatty with some sort of cinnamon seasoning on them. The rice was far too salty. The house special fried rice had morsals of meat that were unrecognisable and strange tasting.
